Does anyone know how much they sale beer for in the food court? I'm trying to decide if I should put it down on our shopping list or if I should just let DH buy them as he needs them there. Thanks so much for the help!!

Can anyone help? We are going to avoid checked luggage this time so we are doing just carry ons. We decided to send a package to POP with cereal, sunscreen, and other odds and ends... so if we arrive on June 5th, how soon should I mail it out? I figure there's no mail on Monday for Memorial Day so maybe this Saturday? Or, should I be avoiding USPS altogether and use UPS? So confused! :confused3

Yippy skippy!! I just got my sister to sign up for DISboards!! Look for her to post! Her screen name is cassaroll!

I think the pricing is basically the same as buying them at the Petals pool bar, like $5 or so per bottle. Unless they have changed the selections you buy them one at a time even from the food court. I have been seeing pictures of packs and cases sold at other resorts, for example, $42 for a case of Heineken, which is outrageous unless you were paying $5 for an individual bottle.

If your "shopping list" is getting supplies from elsewhere, I would recommend buying the beer that way to save money.

With a five day window, you can send it as early as Tuesday. You are a three day UPS shipping point, so I wouldn't send it much earlier than that for Ground service. Most hotels won't accept packages more than a couple of days before your arrival. Also make sure to call Pop Century and see what they need on the label before you ship.

You can ship packages to Disney and they will hold them for 2 weeks, so you are good to ship now. :goodvibes

  • For packages arriving to the resort, the guest name and arrival date are essential
  • On the label’s first line, include your name preceded by the word “Guest” and date of arrival ( i.e. Guest Minnie Mouse 08/27/11)
  • Your package will be held up to 2 weeks prior to your arrival

Whoops, sorry. Yes, we are staying Standard. Who do we call? Is it too early to make the request?

You can call anytime (sooner the better) and add your requests to your reservation. :goodvibes

BTW, I LOVE your name!!

Haha, it's a nickname that my dad has given her. She said kids at school are even calling her that now!! I ♥ it! She was trying to think of something else to come up with, but this one suits her the best i think!

well, just got off the phone with WDW reservations and made sure my room request preferences were noted.:thumbsup2 I'm always glad to work with such cheerful call center reps like Anita was and she took down all my preferences and was very helpful. Couldn't change the credit card info but that's no problem; I can take care of that at the check-in desk next week. :coffee:

Exactly 7000 minutes to go as of 9:50am!:joker:

Just got off the phone with Jill at WDW Reservations to update my room preferences. :) SO EXCITED!

Is it better to call in room requests rather than do online check-in?? We will be getting to the resort super early in the morning (prolly around 10 am) and I'm fairly sure they won't have our room ready, so I don't think online check-in will help us much. Whadda yall think?
