We are planning on staying at Pop this August & are looking for any info at all from those that have stayed there.

Ooooh Sharon your going again:banana:

We stayed at Pop 2 years ago and it was great, we were in the 80s building near to the computer pool and the lake we used to walk around the lake each day. We found the buses to be good and frequent and we all loved it you will have a great time there.

Happy Planning:banana:

What date in August are you going???

Hi Kerry. We're going 20/8, thanks to an heads up from Wayne we got in direct flights from Manchester for £300. Looking at staying a Pop for 9 nights & RPR for 5. Never considered in direct before but after what we went through last year, it's got to be better. Did you eat at Disney all the time and what was the food court like? (can you get toasties)?

My dbf Kev and I have stayed at the Pop 4 times and are planning our 5th trip so I guess it's safe to say we love the place :goodvibes ! We like the 50's building and always ask to stay there because we heard that it's quieter, but I'm not sure now if thats actually true. But it's nice and a short walk to the food court. You get the refillable mugs and and every morning we go and get our coffee and Pop. They have frozen coke and tea as well. The CM's are lovely and the food court has a really good selection. What I love about the Pop is the music that's playing all the time although we have been during early December each year we usually get alot of Christmas music but otherwise it's themed to the area your staying be it 50's or 60's or whatever. Check out the Faq page on the Resorts board, it's jam packed with information and maps and stuff. Also there is a Pop picture thread on there, have you found that yet?

Hope you love the place as much as we do! Your kids should have a great time :thumbsup2 .

Excellent deal:thumbsup2

We go 28th from manchester, we had the dining plan and ate at disney all the time (apart from the days we went to US/IOA) but never had a toastie:confused3
The food court is fine with different QS food stations, quite similar to CBR QS.
Im sure you will love it, we might even see you there:thumbsup2

Thanks Kristina- will check out the Pop picture thread.

Kerry your going in August this time?
Did you manage without a fridge? Tried to get a fridge swap but the only one that's available has not got back to me.

We stayed in the 80's building and loved it.

WHile we were checking in a CM was keeping the children amused, giving out lots of stickers and chatting to them etc.

One evening when we returned from the Parks there was a strange buzzing noise coming from our door. I phoned Reception and they said someone would be round to fix it - within a maximum of 15 mins it was all done. Can't beat that service eh!

:goodvibes Pop Century is a great resort so much fun, we loved it there!

Thank you - can you tell me about the pools. Which you prefer? How busy?

We used the Pool in the 80s 90s section it wasnt crowded and was lovely we used the hippy Dippy Pool once and it was soooo busy so much prefered our first choice we didnt go in the Bowling pool.

We stayed in the 80s/90s section too overlooking the computer pool - here was our view:

We visited all 3 pools - the hippy dippy pool always seemed to be busier - I guess because its in the middle?

We had a great time, we thought the food court was great - loads of choice and seating, all the cast members were lovely.

Buses were great too - if there was ever a big queue two buses would magically appear ;)

We didnt have a fridge but didnt need one - the room was at a cool temp with the air con on and we used our refillable mugs a lot when we needed drinks :)

We stayed here in 2007 and loved it. Stayed in the 90's building near the computer pool. We found it quiet and preferred the pool to the others. Enjoyed swimming at midnight most nights! Only gripe would be that it's a fair walk from the main building and drink refill station, but having said that we would be happy to stay in the same block again. Bus service is excellent and staff all very friendly (but it is Disney!)

BOOK IT and see for yourself!

Thank you. Did you manage without a fridge? Stayed in moderates on last 2 isits & made good use of fridge.

we're going to the Pop in September - we wanted a deluxe but going with friends on a budget so Pop it is - and I find myself more excited to stay at Pop than a deluxe!

would love to hear about extra little things that arent covered by the usual lists ..... what special little food things can you get, which is the best area by the pool to sit if you want sun all day, whats a good snack from pool bar, best time to go down to the bus stop when needing to get to a park for opening, etc etc

Yes we coped without a fridge. We only really sleep in our rooms and used the refill mugs. If desperate for a cold drink or coming back late when refill station closed, we filled ice bucket up and left the drinks to cool for a while!
