Pop Century: Standard, Preferred Question

I noticed when I went on to look at pricing tonight that there are different options like Standard and Preferred at Pop Century now. Is the Preferred and Standard determined by certain buildings/Decades?

We haven't stayed there for quite a few years but when we did it was in what I believe is considered the 60s Building with the YoYo Stairwells. We would walk past the PlayDoh can and we faced the lake.

Thanks for any help you all can give!

This is the map posted on the pop thread. Page 1 has lots of great info.

Basically the preferred is good if you want less walking. You can get a better view of the lake with a standard if that is more important.

During our stay in 2011, there were only two choices: standard or preferred. We booked standard and got 50's with bowling pin pool view. Today that same room costs extra (pool view), but is less $ than preferred location. We had about a 5 minute walk to the food court.

Thank you! The rooms we stayed in before are right where is says 4101-4472 on the map. That are doesn't have any lines on it to designate what level they are. When I looked at booking there were four different levels, Preferred Pool, Preferred View, Standard Pool and Standard and this map only shows three. Wondering if the areas without a distinction are considered Standard?

We stayed at AoA in the Little Mermaid rooms last summer and will probably never stay there again because of the long walk to the main building. The theme wasn't worth the inconvenience and the higher price.

Now to decide if we risk Standard at Pop, spend a little more for Preferred View at Pop or try out ASMovies Preferred...Hmmm?

Correct.

I think if we go with Pop we'll risk Standard then because we stayed in that corner twice (once on 1st and once on 4th) and loved the location both times. It was Quiet and had a nice view of the lake.

Thanks for the help!
