What are the shuttles like from the POP? Are they one of the first resorts picked up/dropped off? Is it super crowded and how long does it usually take to get to the Parks? Just want to be prepared!

Hi! We just got back from POP. Are you talking about the buses to the parks or Magical Express from the airport?

I'll answer both:

Magical Express: We were the first ones dropped off. They were going to 4 other resorts, but POP was the first stop. The way back to the airport, there were no stops. I believe it was a POP only Magical Express.

Buses to the parks: Bus has its own buses to the parks. They do not share with any other resorts. The lines can be long in the morning & especially when the park closes. However, they usually send 2 at a time when the parks close. I don't think we ever waited more than 10 minutes for a bus.

Hope that helps. If not, let me know! Enjoy your trip!

They're not shuttles, they're busses. Pop Century has it's own route according to a thread I found with a quick search. I've read here that the bus stops at the resort do get crowded. Busses to each destination run about 15 minutes apart on average. They run from the resort to all four parks, the water parks, and Downtown Disney.

Just depends...there have been trips to POP when we lucked up and waited only 5-10 min for a bus, to and from the parks, then there was a trip when we waited over an hour a few times for a bus back from the parks at night. For the most part, the wait times were pretty short as was the ride time. There have been a few occasions when a trip to Downtown Disney and AK took 45 minutes, because of the TL/BB stops in between, but that is true for all the resorts we've stayed at.

My daughter and I will be at the Pop for Christmas. How bad do you think the wait for buses will be then? My biggest fear is that we won't be able to get on a bus and then we won't be able to get into MK on Christmas Day.

We just returned this week from POP and we found the buses to be very efficient. POP has their own buses and you do not share with any other resorts.
We never waited very long for a bus. Even at the end of the night after fireworks at the parks.

The lines will be long, but not that long (at least I don't think they will). If you are at the bus stop by 8:00 a.m., you should be at the park by 9:00 a.m. The MK won't fill up that soon! And resort guests are given a priority over regular day guests when the park is near capacity. However, it is at capacity or somewhat above, I'm pretty sure no one gets in! I think Pop has really good service. At night, I've often seen castmembers with walkie talkies calling more buses into the waiting area when the lines are long. They really do the best job they can do under the circumstances.

anyone know the schedule for the pickup to DTD

I have seen other resort threads saying buses start shuttle to DTD in the evening hours. 4pm or so???
I am wanting to head to DTD before lunch....will the buses be running then?

The buses are continuous as long as you are staying at a Disney resort. They come about every fifeteen minutes or so.

The buses run to DTD all day , not just in the late afternoon and evening,so you won't have any problem.
Have a good time!

I thought I heard once (and I could be wrong) that there are direct shuttles to DTD in the evening hours, but during the day, they often stop at Typhoon Lagoon as well??

That is correct. The DTD bus does stop at Typhoon Lagoon, at least some times.

That being said, last April/May when we were there, we only had one time when we had an issue with a bus. We waited a long time for the DTD bus on a Saturday afternoon. It was our down day and we wanted to go there prior to heading over to our Character Dinner and we waited over 30 minutes before giving up and going someplace else.

That is because Typhoon Lagoon closes at around 6pm (or around that time)
