Dh, dd 3, and I spent the first week of Feb at Pop Century. We arrived at about 6:30pm Sunday night and walked right up to the check in counter while dd went to the movie room. I assume with the superbowl starting that kept the crowds down at this time. Check in was really quick and even stopping along the way to our room to see Goofy's Pop Jets we were at our room before 6:45pm bringing our luggage ourselves. We stayed in room 6141 which was a 1st floor 70s room overlooking the lake, turning right after the Mickey phone. It took 2.5 minutes to walk from the room to the food court and less than 5 minutes from our room to the bus stop. We loved our location. DD was completely enthralled with the Mickey phone, Goofy Pop Jet area, twister, fussball etc. We did walk over to the playground which did not impress us at all. Friday it was 82degrees and dd enjoyed the kiddie pool Friday night for an hour then when the other kids left I had to take her into the Hippy Dippy Pool for another hour. I liked the free life jacket which we got from the Petals pool bar which could be kept for the entire length of stay (we went swimming our last night). While the 50s, 60s, and 70s are conveniently located the 80s and 90s do seem much further away from the food court/bus stop area. We didn't eat much in the food court other than quick breakfast food but everything we tried was good. We did get a pizza one night when dd crashed early. We did early entry to the parks Monday - Thursday and we were always seated on the bus within 5 minutes. Friday when we left around 10am we were surprised by the line at the busstop and had to wait for the 2nd bus. Coming back one night from Magic Kingdom we deliberately waited for the next bus and watched the fireworks at the pop century bus stop for a little bit. We had some very entertaining bus drivers telling us disney stories and trivia etc. The only driver's name I remember was David. Our one complaint other than the playground was that all 3 of us found the beds to be too hard/firm. Housekeeping was great bringing us a bedrail and extra towels shortly after we requested them. DD enjoyed looking at all the things left in the windows including her little stuffed animals and doll. One night all the stuffed animals were lined up on the bed which unfortunately was the only night dd was asleep before entering the room.
