Just returned from a wonderful stay at Pop Century!!! My grand daughter and I were there May 3-9. We were in 70s section (giant Mickey phone), Room 6347.

Great room, great location! Not too far of a walk to food court/bus stops. Our room was nice and clean! Didn't hear any neighbors.

On the first day there, my grand daughter got hold of an ink pen and wrote a small line (maybe an inch long) on the cover sheet (bed spread). We were there for 6 nights and they did not change the cover sheet - I noticed the ink line every day. Not a big deal, but I did notice.

Oh, I did put some milk and apple juice in the refrigerator and it was almost frozen the next morning. Didn't use it for any food, just the milk and juice. After that, I'd use the ice bucket and ice to keep it cold over night.

We did not have any problems at the food court. Food was pretty good, and there were lots of tables available.

Bus service was great - I think there was only one time we had to stand.

The pool was nice - but we spent most of our time in the kiddie pool! She LOVED it!

Weather was nice!

Our first park day was Magic Kingdom! We had breakfast at the castle, then waited for rope drop. It got crazy crowded with people rushing for the Anna/Elsa meet and greet. Thankfully, we had a 9:25 am fast pass. We rode the carousel first, then as we passed by the meet and greet area, the wait was up to 300 minutes!!!! This was about 20 minutes after the park opened!!! We used our fast pass and waited maybe 5 minutes. Anna/Elsa spent a lot of time with my grand daughter. It was really nice! But I wouldn't wait 300 minutes~

We ate at Ohana for breakfast and dinner, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Liberty Tree Tavern, Via Napoli, Hollywood & Vine lunch, breakfast in the Castle, and most of our counter service was at Pop. No complaints on the food - everything was really good.

If you have any questions, please let me know!!!! If you are going to Pop Century soon, I KNOW you'll have a great time!!!!

Thanks for the review! We stayed there three years ago and it was fabulous! We ate at the food court like 4 or 5 times since our kids were young and were done for the day early. Since then though I've read that the new menu is terrible, the service is awful and the food is gross. We're staying there again in Nov. for free dining (and I booked POP before reading the poor reviews) and now I'm worried about the food court situation. Any more details you can give?

Thanks!

Just returned yesterday from the Pop from May 3-10. It was great! We were in the Bowling Pin buildings rooms 1442/1443 and loved it. Food court is still great...bus service was efficient...and the pools were fun! I love it at Pop and would stay there anytime.
The cupcakes are AWESOME!!! LOL

I had the sesame chicken, french bread pizza (twice), and the bacon cheeseburger. All were really good and served hot.

The sesame chicken came with rice and brocolli, pizza with a ceasar salad, and the burger with fries. All were about $10.

I was on the dining plan, so I also got a drink and dessert. I was traveling with my grand daughter, so we shared. Because I had a mug, I would get either the apple juice, chocolate milk or "pink" milk for DGD, and she got a Mickey bar as dessert.

Most nights, we were eating around 6:30ish, and the lines were fine. We maybe waited about 5 minutes or so (sometimes, it seemed like it was longer when you're trying to hold a tray and keep an eye on your child - lol).

There is an ice cream section where you can get scooped ice cream or sundaes, and that could be your dessert.

For what I had, I thought the food was fine. The CMs that I encountered were nice. They often gave my DGD a sticker for waiting in line and being good.

You'll have a great time!!!!

Love, love, loove the bacon cheeseburgers. I can live off em for a week no problemo.
Who, in their right mind, would wait 5 HOURS to meet ANYONE.lol
I gotta believe that a large portion of these "300 minute" waiter types, give up after an hour or so..
I cannot believe they would actually wait that long..

We were at the Pop last August. Honestly I did not care for many of the menu changes. My son did not care for the French bread pizza. We did find things to eat but wished they had the older menu items. It's nice to have the AoA so close. We walked over there a couple of Times and ate there. As far as service goes I had no problems with that.

Despite the menu changes we will be staying at the Pop again in June. We love the resort.

We stayed there last September (and have just rebooked for 11 days this coming September!) and we loved it. If anything, I thought the food was better than average (for a food court). We walked over to AoA twice to try their food court, and both times were disappointed. The breakfasts are a little bland and predictable, but we really liked the variety for dinners. Also got the pizza take-out to our rooms twice - delicious! We're looking forward to going back there this fall! :)

As of July the food court was still great. Menu was different than 2009 but no drop off IMO. I love AoA in general but Pop's food court is still better. Best food court at WDW IMHO :)

I just wanted to say :wave2: We were there 5/3-10 & in room 6450. I agree, location was great for a standard room. Once we figured out the shortcut through the big wheel building to the buses, it got a lot better!

Thanks for posting. I am considering a short mom/son trip in the fall of 2015 right before our annual passes expire. Since it will be just the two of us and I want to do a budget trip I am thinking POP will be a great location for us. I've never stayed there but hear all good things, I think it would be a fun place for us to stay. The more positive reviews I read the more comfortable I feel with it. :)

does anyone know if the tye dye cheesecake really has changed?

It has changed. I never really liked it to begin with but even less so now. The slice isn't that big anymore, actually its not even a slice anymore, its in the round black cup like the other cakes. But in all honesty I think the only one who can decide is you. :thumbsup2
