Can a family of 5 (1 is under 3) fit in 1 room at the Pop Century?

We made our reservations a few months ago and I asked and they said yes since DS is still under 3 and will sleep in a playpen. My SIL asked where we were staying and if we were all staying in one room. She said when her family of five stayed at ASM they made them switch to POR because they didn't allow 5 in one room. (She has one DD who is under 3 also. So it is similar family dynamics.) Since she said that, I have been nervous about this!! I've called POP Century directly twice and asked. Both times they have said it was fine. To make this situation even more confusiong, DS will be three during our trip. (September 22nd) I already have planned on getting him a park hopper, so that is not the issue. I guess I need some reassurance!!! Has anyone has this same situation???

We are REALLY excited about staying at the Pop Century and really don't want to stay somewhere else. I have thought about getting two different rooms, but with DH being as big a tight wad as he is that isn't really an option!! :)

THANKS!

As long as your son is still 2 years old at the start of your trip, disney considers him 2 for the whole trip. That means you are fine at Pop Century and you don't have to buy him a parkhopper, and I believe he is free at buffets as well. Enjoy it!

I think you'll all love POP - it's a really neat place. I do think, however, you will be crowded into one room. It really all depends on what you can live with. If you will only be in the room for sleeping, you might be OK. Did you get the Dog Days of Summer rate? (that's the lowest I know of in Aug & Sept). Maybe when you arrive and your husband sees how little space you'll have, he'll decide connecting rooms would be a good thing! Don't fret about it. At worst, you'll feel a little crowded.

Just got back from Pop Sunday night. A playpen probably would fit between the TV stand/dresser and the halfwall to the bathroom area. Have a great time! pirate:

You are going during the week of September 22 - there's a code out for a room only discount good until September 29 of $55 per night at the Value resorts. So at this rate you can get 2 rooms and be MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE. There were only 4 of us (2 adults/2 kids) and my sister kept bellyaching about space. I wouldn't do it. But if you can get the discounted rate 2 rooms will be your best bet.

Not at PC but at one of the All-Stars we did it. Originally it was just going to be myself and the girls but then my husband (now my ex) decided to meet us there. We each shared a bed with one of the girls. DDs at the time were 12,10, and 2. Youngest one camped out on the floor. But I think PC is a bit smaller than the All-stars. We've stayed there 3 times since it opened. DDs are older now 20, 18 and just turned 11. That was the last vacation we shared 1 room. Instead of buying the 2 yr old a pass maybe use the money for an extra room. After a long day at the parks you will want to stretch out in bed. Plus the extra bathroom.

It will be crowded. The rooms are not very big at all. I felt trapped with DH, DS6, & DD2 plus the stroller, suitcases, countless WDW shopping bags, toys etc. Just wanted to be honest.

If you have no other option, keep the room well organized, it helps.
