Does anyone have a map of which rooms are considered "Preferred" for Pop Century?

Do you think that it is worth the extra money to get preferred over standard?

I've stayed a couple of times at Pop and the one time I paid for preferred room it was the loudest room I've ever had in all my trips to the world. I could hear everything from the room next door and I mean EVERYTHING! I would never pay to stay in a preferred room again. The resort really is not all that big and its not worth it IMHO. :goodvibes Preferred rooms are highlighted in yellow.

We just returned from a 7 night stay in a preferred room. We were in building 5, third floor, facing the back. It was very quiet and we weren't disturbed by anyone.

We stayed in Building 1 (with view of the bowling pin pool) on the 3rd floor and it was fine. It was a bit quieter than the preferred buildings and also the walk was nothing...less than 5 minutes!

Now, the non-preferred locations at POR and CBR were a MUCH longer walk from the main building. Unfortunately not even that can keep me from my coffee!!

We were in building #3 of the 50's section. While the walk to the Classic Hall isn't that long compared to what you do in the parks, it is still long enough to make in inconvenient for a quick trip to refill your refillable mug. If I were to stay at POP again I would gladly pay for a preferred room.

Great Map!!! Thank you so much.

It looks like there are plenty of standard rooms that are not too far from Classic Hall. Maybe I will request one of the standard rooms in building 4 or 5. It is away from the parking lot (my own personal preference) but close enough for a refill.

Thanks for the information.

Does anyone know if there are any first floor pool side preferred rooms that have adjoining rooms with the door

Thank you so much!!!

All the buildings have connecting rooms on both sides. There aren't tons of them though. See the link to the map on page 1 of the Pop FAQ thread.

would like to revisit this question.... the link offered in previous response is not active. can anyone provide a current link? we are staying at POP 2/27-3/2 in a standard room, just curious about the possibility of room location.

Has anyone every done adjoinig rooms at the Pop. I want to stay next to my mom.:cheer2:

Yes, we request this every time. Sometimes we get it, sometimes we don't. They've always managed to put us in the same building and same floor, though.

We stayed in Building 5 in a preferred room with a pool view. It was great and we had no problems. It was nice to feel a little closer to the main building and laundry.

I booked a preferred room at Pop. The touringplans.com link provided shows rooms with 1 King and 1 Double. Do those rooms actually exist? I would love a bigger bed for me and my hubby!

In the future I will only book Preferred because then I'm guaranteed to NOT be stuck in a far-away room or the 80's & 90's section which I really don't like.

That being said, our standard room last year was SO close to everything and we really lucked out. But I don't want to chance getting that on our next trip and have chosen to spend the extra money for Preferred.

I hear ya!

We booked a preferred room last summer and we were in the 60's backside of the pool rooms and super close to the Foodcourt. AMAZING!!! :)

My sister checked in the following week and she booked a standard room. She was about as far away as possible in the 80's. :(

,,,,,,, i I also stayed in bldg. 3 of the fifties and loved the location, I thought it was so close to classic hall, we were sec, floor facing the lake, non preferred and it was very quiet, have requested this same location for out July trip.

I was wondering that too..so I clicked the rooms and it says one king in the room with a layout that will fit a double sized cot added by request..
