My travel agent got back with me and said that Disney said no. She said that they would be letting the travel agent know so that things could be done for those that had booked at Pop. No name change in effect either.

Even though it was Thanksgiving week, Goofy was not on vacation. He was still keeping watch over the kids in the water jets.

That wonderful sign I'll be seeing again in mid-March.

One of the only things left that has the Pop Century logo.

All the Pop t-shirts are gone, along with the sweatshirts and the key chains and mugs and anything else.

Too Cute!!! I just booked our trip for POP last night! While I should be excited about our entire trip, I am sooo excited and ready to shop, the tink merchandise is so cute!!! I can not wait!!!

I am confused. Did she say they are not closing down or they are? Your first sentence makes it sounds like they are not but then you go on to say that Disney would be contacting people that who had booked.

Oh My Goodness!!! I am sold on POP!!!

Fun stuff indeed! Are you loving the scrapbooking supplies? If so, make sure you make time to go to Downtown Disney because they have a scrapbooking store. You'll find lots of scrapbooking supplies in the park's larger gift shops, too! You can spend a looooooootttt of loot on scrapbook supplies!

Maybe they are fazing out resort specific merchandise as a cost saver. They got rid of resort specific refill mugs and went with the same mug resort wide so why not all other items. I would think they would save a fortune to buy generic Disney items in bigger numbers that could be sold all over Disney property at a higher profit margin.

I just got off the phone with my travel agent and asked about the rumors. She said she knew nothing about and that she would call Disney and find out then get back to me.

I don't beleive that travel agents will have this knowledge till last minute (for temp close) As for the resort eing totally changed, I assume that will take a few years, and not with in the next 6 months.

AMEN SISTER!!! My husband now says that he hates to see Christmas come and go because I go into vacation planning overdrive!!! I would love to know what they would all do if I didn't plan a thing! They wouldn't know how to manage once they arrived, because I have to tell them every little thing!!!

I hear ya loud and clear!!! I've started my notebooks for our 2009 trip already and on Friday will call CRO to book the trip. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My goodness, she's got the Disney Bug almost as bad as me. She's going at Easter time with 9 of her nearest and dearest and she's got the plans laid already (thanks to the many suggestions of our very knowledgable Disers). But when it's with family - Mom's the Queen. So on that note all you Poppers - we need our picture fix!!
