POP Century or CBR

I already have an AP reservation for CBR, but I'm thinking that since it's only myself going, the room is being used as a crashing pad and for the free Disney transportation, I might try POP Century instead.

I'm thinking, how much time am I really going to spend at the resort in Febuary. It probably won't be warm enough to swim so I'm really just looking for a bed and a place to shower. It's not a case of the money or anything like that. It's more along the lines of why spend $116 night for a place to sleep when you can an AP rate for $74 a night and get the same Disney feeling. I might go back once in a while and rest, but for the most part most of my time is going to be spent at the parks.

I know it is more of a family resort, but what do you think.

If you just want a place to sleep and shower I'd say go for Pop Century. We (two adults) are just back from a stay there and we thought it was great. We've stayed at CBR too and love it there but for the value we thought Pop Century was just fine. We had no problem with the buses either as the most we ever waited for a bus was 10 minutes. There were a lot of families at Pop Century but there were also a lot of adult only parties as well.

We recently stayed at Pop Century and would not hesitate to stay there again, especially if we weren't planning on spending much time at the resort. PC is very clean, the rooms well thought out and the resort is just - FUN. We had excellent bus service and encountered friendly CM's while there.

Choices, choices what to do. Pay $1044 for 9 nights at CBR or $742.59 for 9 nights at POP Century.

Our last mom/son trip was in January at CBR. My DS honestly enjoyed staying at POP better than CBR. I do believe a big part of his enjoyment was how close we were to everything and he felt safe making trips on his own to the food court and store. The biggest advantage of CBR to me was the room size and the curtain across the bathroom area, along with a coffee maker and a fridge. If I had to make the choice again, I would chose Pop over CBR.
