Question about MNSSHP. We have a 4:55 reservation at CP on our MNSSHP night, and someone told me that some of the restaurants close at 5 during the halloween party nights? Please tell me she's just going crazy.

I believe she might be right but CP isn't one of them . Mostly they close some Counter Service places later in the evening..

BTW - we are not attending MNSSHP either. Although we agreed it would be a great event, our family unanimously voted to use the money to extend our vacation instead.

They have a large screen TV in the food courts at the AS but I think they usually show Disney movies. Not sure if they are cable capable. That would be good but a fight might break out over what to watch!

minnieandme, those chocolate covered strawberries have me salivating also and I even know how to make them!! EZ

keliblue, I got all my chores done for the day and when I got home the guys were here tearing off the garage roof and are already tacking up the new shingles. One more thing off the list. I also remembered to call for prescription refills. So much to do, so little time!! I live for that moment when the garage door comes down and we are gone. I hope you had as productive a day as I did.

BabyPiglet, I have read of many of the CS places being open during the party and if you have a seating you are guaranteed a meal and you will not have to rush either! Looking forward to meeting you.

DD had a fit, cried for over an hour, because??? I want to go to DISNEYWORLD, and I want to take DD!! She is determined she CANT go by plane!! I've showed her the meds we can give her - and will (anti nausea medicine, dramamine, motion sickness bands) I told her and showed her the pick a pearl... but all she did is cry!! drama. drama. drama!

Can you imagine if I have to get her a babysitter?

eeyore45, is there anyway you can time a nap and get her on the plane and there before she wakes up? Is she is a sound sleeper? Maybe a "Magic Bag" of small presents that might keep her oblivious to the plane?

I suffer from phobias and many have been made worse by folks, with good intentions, who tried to MAKE me overcome them.

I do so hope it all works out for the both of you.

BabyPiglet, I am correct that you are a teen? If so, I am impressed at your maturity. I need a granddaughter. I got these nasty old boys. Would not trade them for the world but sure would like something with a ribbon and a bow around once in awhile.

Im holding off on packing because most of the stuff I will be taking with me I use day to day. My daughter is 4 years old and loves to play with other children
There's a lot of us with kids here so hopefully we'll get a chance to meet and the kids can make some new friends too!

Thank you and those pictures definitely have us ready to go back to Pop. We stayed there last year, during the free dining, and we loved it. It was our first time on property and we can't wait to go back.

Not being able to pack drives me crazy! So what I do is buy new socks, new undies, new make-up, 2nd curling iron, etc. and pack the new stuff. Then I have a short list of what to pack at the last minute. (like the only 3 pairs of shorts that I can find to fit me!)

How did this come about?

DD - drama ie fear of flying? Its because United kept us on a plane for close to 12 hours and landed and waited, flew, only to land and wait.. tarmeck after tarmack(and at each take off and landing poor dd threw up we flown 3 other times with no upset tummy) - United then gave us vouchers to fly again within 12months - this is how I plan on going in 24 ish days!

if its about the Buzz lightyear websight - that is a Dis'er who is wonderful at sharing!! I remember those big score hits - I like getting those big numbers!! Just wanted to share!!

Linda, she will be 11 while we're down there - and I dont know what to do - she hardly sleeps at all (goes to bed earlyish - but cant sleep when she is obsessing over one thing or another - sometimes she only gets 3-4 hours of sleep a night - someone told me it has to do with high IQ's all those great millionares hardly sleep!! (dh and I take turns, she hates to be the only one awake in the house - so she comes into our room crying she is still awake - help!! reminds me of a chinese water torture!!)

I hope I can "medically drug" her per our pediatrician... its my only hope.. until then I'm hoping to convince her that her mind is powerful and if she really really and truly wants to go to Disney... she must accept a 2 hour plane trip!!

My DD will soon be 11 also, and also hates planes. The medicines really help. I try to make the flight fun by playing Disney games (everyone has 15 minutes to write down every ride they can think of - 1 point for every one the other person didn't get), or we talk about our plans. She still hates it but wouldn't give up a Disney trip for it. I would explain that the odds of her being on that plane for 12 hours again are very very low. I hope it goes well for you. See you at CP. It will be just me and DD - dressed as pirates!
