aksunshine, my neighbor does this sort of thing for lots of people. I am just doubly blessed cause I live next door. With the time I saved I cleaned the garage. Fun never ends!!

scrappinmom, hooray for your paying off your trip! It is better to go Value and have it paid for than to suffer the rest of the year after your trip paying it off IMO. Just think of what you save on the interest alone?? Enough to pay for a couple more days NEXT trip for sure.

eeyore45, you are a font of Disney knowledge. I have never understood folks being scared of a character 'jumping' out (i.e. Snow White ) but then I have my own set of problems that others cannot understand. Since the demise of Millionaire I have to admit that MGM no longer has much interest for me either. Where it used to be a 5-6 day park it is now barely a 1 day park.

Hunzi, I am sorry to hear about your toe. I hope it heals up before you have to lug it all over the parks. Would wearing sandals help any? I am thinking that a sore toe would be almost worse than a broken leg? Never having had either I do not know.

I'm doing much better now! Almost back to normal. I was in Dallas for a conference last week and totally swollowed my pride and wore crocs all the time while all my friends were in their very cute, professional shoes. Crocs and evening gowns a fashion statement aren't they?

I've broken a handful of toes in my life, but this time it was the big toe on my right foot and I was amazed how much it affected my balance. I spent most of the first 3 weeks with it propped up, and I think that helped a lot! I'm still finding I can only wear certain shoes, but by Sept, things should be back to normal! I'll start working out on the treadmill soon, so that I'm at least up to a couple of miles before the trip.

It seems I can never have a conversation with you all because the only time I can log is in the wee hours.

I am sooooo bummed about RNR! I saw this info on another website today...Mouseforless I think. I love coasters and so do my kids. Oh well. I'm also freaking out about Teppan Edo and the possibility that it might not open in time for my ressie on 9-19. I guess it can't all be open all of the time. I'm down to 47 days and I'm starting to think about packing already. Am I crazy? Is anyone decorating their window? I'm tossing the idea around.

Hunzi-OMG I broke my toe once and it really does affect your balance. And it really hurts too! Hopefully it will be all better before you get to WDW. You'll need all of your toes there.

I'm getting so excited and still have managed to keep it all under wraps so my kids won't find out. Aren't they wondering, "Why is Mom reading all of those Disney Guides?" or "Why is Mom making us stuff our pockets with lime green Mickey Heads at Home Depot?" It's been the Year of a Million Secrets. It's been bottled up inside me for so long I think I'm going to burst. If "a dream is a wish your heart makes..." then I'm gonna need a defribillator soon!

I am sooo bummed. I really wanted to do the Party for the Senses on 9/29 - never did it before but I've heard nothing but rave reviews.

But, my friend Shirley absolutely refuses to do it. Not sure about doing it by myself - it seems like half the fun would be in sharing the experience. Oh well, I should stop whining, right? After all, I'M GOIN' TO DISNEYWORLD!!!

Question: I 'm going to try my hand at a bit of window decorating. But, was thinking about putting some homemade magnets, etc on the steel door as well. Do those stick very well? Has anyone done this? Do people steal them?

They say that time flies but I do not think that is true when there is something to look forward to however with as much work as I have ahead of me before we leave the time sure is not sauntering.

Hunzi, sounds as if all will be well by the time you make it to DW. I wish all it took was a healed toe to make me 'normal'.

Karen, I made a poster last time and had a few nibbles at my door but not when I was there darn it. I will have to see what I can find in the way of window stickers. They do come so that you can install them from the interior do they not? I stay up very late at night so we could chat sometime, if I am not too tired to type by then.

HIya gang - Ok I confess...I haven't really kept up with this thread cause I was pretty sure there was no way in he** I was going to figure out a way to go....but guess what
I DID IT! FINAL PAYMENT MADE!


I still can't believe I did it! I sold $375 on ebay, cashed in the change jar for $480 and my parents slipped me the rest to pay off the trip!!!! NOw of course I have my dh to deal with (& I don't mean dear)...but that's ok...I'm taking the girls & Disney, I'm going with one of my best friends & her 2 dd's (one who is my youngest's bffffff) so I couldn't be happier!

Now I'm gonna go & catch up & get to know you all better and pay attention!!!!

Wouldn't it be funny if some of us are next door to each other. I do plan on decorating my window. I got a few LGMH but gotta get some more. Maybe I'll have my DS13 make some drawings I can put on the window as well. Since I love Mickey, he drew him for me and it looks great. He thinks I have completely gone crazy for being so excited, so maybe this will get him a little bit excited. Never mind, I forgot I'm talking about a teenage boy here He'd rather stay in the room and play video games all day. I'm sure he'll have fun when we go to DQ. I know I will since I found out they have all my fav games I used to play like Pacman and Donkey Kong.

42 more days to go Just to think 6 weeks from now I'll be to see my Mickey.

Morning all

Geesh, I spent so much time worrying about making this trip...I now feel like i'm in panic mode to get ready!

I want to decorate our windows too....last time I found some fun stuff at the dollar stores....My home depot has been out of LGMH for about a year (I think they caught onto me)....Last time I found some of those plastic Disney placemats & just stuck those to the windows.

My friend who's going with - Dana - has never stayed at POP before...never decorated her window before...never even rode Splash Mountain before 0 & YET she's been to Disney as many times as me.....gotta wonder what the heck she's been doing. Anyway...I'm so looking forward to having someone to drink in Epcot with!!!! SO I want to get enough stuff to decorate her window as well.

Still need to figure out the MNSSHP thing. It's SO early in the season...I doubt my girls will have their costumes yet....& Since I'm not telling them about the trip until I pick them up from school on the 19th & we leave for the airport....I thought maybe I'd make t-shirts for all 6 of us....Gotta come up with something...

Where did you guys order your glow supplies from? Oriental Trading is where I was gonna go? ANywhere better??

I also need to get over to the design board...I want a shirt for the 2 little girls about going to Disney with your bff!

I'm with ya on the walking...I've been a lazy bafoon this summer...too depressed about not going to do anything....so now I need to get my behind in gear and get walking!

oh yea & in between all that guess we all gotta get the kids ready to go back to school huh?

I think the Party for the Senses sounds like a great time!! I would go it I could!

Are you driving from Atlanta on the 16th? We will be staying in Chattanooga on the 15th, and then driving through GA to arrive at Pop on the 16th. Maybe we will be cruising down the road together? You will probably be ahead of us by a couple of hours, but what a fun thought!

We're actually leaving on the 14th. We should get there just in time for check in, disinfect the room, walk around the resort so I can take some pics and we're off to ESPN Zone for dinner. We'll be hitting the parks first thing Sat morning.

We will be driving from Indiana---we are staying the night (of the 16th) in Macon GA, (or around there), then off to orlando on the 17th! woooooo hooooooo!
