POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

Just wanted to check in one last time before I leave in the morning. I have about 11 hours to go, so by the time most of you read this, I'll probably be on my way. For some reason, I was thinking I leave today. I was up at 4:30 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Tomorrow is for real though.

I checked the weather for next week and there's a chance of a thunderstorm everyday. I won't let that get me down cause it's Florida and it can rain with no warning only to let up 10 minutes later. I have our ponchos packed so I'm good to go.

Someone mentioned a group photo. We'll probably get there sometime after 10. It's my mom's birthday I think we'll be at MGM that night as I remember picking 50's PT for her dinner. It'll also be our last night so we won't be at the parks too late. Gotta see Fantasmic for the last time. See you all next week

I know how you all feel, I have been checking *******************************************ZSzeb001_ZSYYYYYYYYUSaccuweather.com everyday since you can get a 15 day forecast It's pretty sad when all the Ressi's, flights, ADR's, Park Schedules etc.. are made and all I have left are weather reports

LOL! I am in the same boat. We leave tomorrow afternoon to go up to Dallas and then fly to MCO on Saturday morning

Hi Girls and welcome!!!!!
The idea is that we will all meet up at the petals pool bar on the 22nd, wearing as much glow stuff as you can (necklaces, earings, mouthpieces, flashing pins, glow cubes, etc.)-whatever you can get your hands on really Or you can come with out any glow stuff-there will prolly be people there that have extra glow stuff to share. Kids are allowed-most of us will have our DH and kids with us. We will just be sippin some mojitos(or drinks of your choice) and meeting one another!!!! The kids will prolly swim while we are conversating (im hoping that Dh takes care of that part while I mingle )

Hope to see you there!!! BTW just come whenever you want....some will be there early, around 7 or 8. But alot of people have plans for wishes, fantasmic, etc and wont be there till later. (like after 10pm)

Somehow (school started, then preschool, then IL's arrived for an 8 day visit--can't imagine how) I missed your tale of woe, which was also my tale of woe. Something bad must have happened on August 11, because that's when our documents (the ones that never came) were printed, too. Like you, I called, they were reprinted and shipped UPS, and arrived yesterday, just in time for my single digit dance!

Very strange! After reading about everyone else getting their documents I e-mailed my TA and asked her where mine were and she said they were sent by Disney on August 11, but we never received them! So now, I have to wait for my TA to get another set of documents from WDW and then she has to forward it on to me And I'm stressin a little about it... It's a good thing I asked about them! Also, can someone tell me if the ME tags come with the documents?

This has shed some light on the situation. After hearing that you two have/had the same situation, it's apparent that it wasn't the USPS that is at fault. They obviously had issues with any documents that were supposedly mailed on Aug. 11th. Meaning, they didn't really mail them. mickeymouseclubhouse- I hope that you get yours in time and luggage tags did come with our documents. I had to call Disney 3 times before they actually decided to send them again. They kept telling me that the hotel could print them when I got there but I told them that I wanted to have the same experience as everyone else and that I wanted my luggage tags.

I'm sorry that others are having to deal with this hassle as well, but I'm glad it was a "not mailing" issue rather than a "my neighbor got my docs and kept them" issue, kwim?

Luggage tags (plastic, like to put your name and address on) come with your documents, but the ME tags (big, long, yellow stickers, like the airlines put on when you check a bag) come in a separate package. If your TA doesn't have your yellow ME stickers she should put in a separate call to the ME line.

Don't stress too much about those, though. If you don't have them, you can just explain you never got them to the folks at the DME desk at MCO and they'll take your baggage claim checks and take care of it. To make it easier for them to find your bags, I'd put a bright, gaudy ribbon on them, and bring a sample of it for the DME people to staple to your claim checks. Or, if you were really worried, you could just pick up your bags yourself and then go to the DME counter.

It's no fun to be stressing about this stuff a week before vacation, though. A week! A WEEK! Aaahhh!

good luck with ur luggage they screwed mine up twice when i flew in march of this year so glad i am driving down on this trip i will handle my bags .

I'm so jealous!! I wish we were on the plane right now! I tried to extend our trip, but it didn't work out. When I called Continental to see if our flight could be changed, they told me it would only cost $15 a ticket because the fare had dropped. However, when I called Disney they told me it would cost $100 a ticket plus other costs because I purchased my tickets through them. Apparently, they have a policy that if you change a ticket, the change fee is $100 and worse yet if for some reason you can't use the ticket, use lose it entirely....unlike the airlines who will credit the ticket amount to another flight. I guess this is a warning to others to buy thier airfare separate from the Disney package OR buy Disney's insurance.
I shouldn't complain. We will have 10 glorious days. Can't wait!!!!

Thanks! I just got an e-mail from my TA earlier today and she said they sent the documents to us today via UPS and we should get them next week Tuesday. Nothing like cutting it close!
