Pop Century is sold out for my dates!!

I wanted Movies but couldn't get it so have Pop preferred for Sept 9-15

I did get Movies preferred for Sept 2-8.

Yes, I tried to get POP for Aug 26-Sept 3, and it was sold out.

I had to pick between ASSports or ASMusic.

We chose Sports. Disappointing we couldn't get Pop, but oh well!!!

Pop was sold out for us also for Sept. 10th to Sept. 24th. We took all star sport but she said the "Bay Pool"? was closed until 9/14. Is the Bay pool and kiddy pool the main pool by the hub?
If they say it will be open on Sept. 14 are they usually on schedule?
The CM really pushed the travel insurance she said we really needed it and it was only 59.00 per adult so I took it. Did all of you purchase travel insurance also?

If one of your days is sold out then the entire thing comes up as being unavailable.

Wondering why you would pay for free dining instead of going to a Mod even if you dont want another value? You would probably break about even and you would be at a mod. I love Pop because it is really nice but if I were going to give up free dining and pay more I would be staying at a Mod for sure!

PC is sold out for my dates (August 26-September 4)

I was able to book PC for my coworker. (September 2-9)

Sorry for your tough luck. I have a feeling we were barely able to sneak into POP when I booked day before yesterday. We got 8/26-9/1 but all they had left were preferred rooms.

Well I got PoP for Sept. 22 to Oct. 1 non preferred room.. if something had happened I did not get it I would have gladly taken any Value... I have stayed at ASMu and liked it just fine.. chose Pop this time around to try something new

Guess I was lucky!

I was able to book a pop preferred room for Sept 8-16th.

If you didn't get it, keep calling back. I have been told in the past to call in the am as the system resets overnight with all cancellations, deposits not received, etc.

That's very confusing to me that you couldn't get POP. I didn't call to make reservations until 8:30 EST. I was on hold for almost 45 minutes and then remembered I could book on-line. Just as I got my confirmation number for POP (8/26-8/31), a CM answered. I told her I had just booked on-line and received my confirmation number just as she picked up, but the on-line booking didn't allow me to add free dining.

She said she would add it for me, but then her computer started acting up. From what she said, alot of computers were acting up. I wonder why??? She took all of my information and said she would call back. She called back in less than 10 minutes and confirmed that I have POP booked for 8/26-8/31 and she had added the free dining for me.

I wonder why it's allowing some and not others? Maybe it's the dates? Good luck! I hope you get what you want for your vacation!

I called and spoke with a CM at 7:00 am and was told that PC, ASMu and ASMo were sold out in both preferred and reg. rooms from Sept. 22 through Sept. 30th. I then got a huge lecture from Ephraim the CM about all of these people booking ahead of time which ruins it for any free dining at Pop because only 10% of rooms are held for this special. I took ASSp and called back a few minutes later and got ASMu instead. I hope maybe I can call back in a few days and get a preferred room for my daughter who has some motor issues.

Only a certain number of rooms are allotted at each resort for the promotion. Once that number fills up for a particular date, it will show the date (and subsequent dates for a specific trip timeframe) as being sold out. So, for example, I called on Monday to book Pop for September 19-25, and I was told it was sold out (I wound up booking for a week earlier). Now it's possible that the 20-25 were all still available...but the 19th was booked up and therefore would show that the rest of my travel time was sold out as well. This is why date flexibility is needed with a promotion like this (and if dates aren't flexible, then resorts would need to be). Because if you move your check in date by a day or two, everything can be open again. This is why some people are experiencing no problems at all and why some are experiencing the 'sold out' conversation.

That makes perfect sense! Thank you for explaining. I would not have been able to be flexible on the dates, but would have definitely been flexible on the resorts. However, we were going with or without the free dining. The FD is just icing on our cake!

For those of you trying to book POP when the free DDP starts on 8/26 -- don't forget that many of the rooms were already booked with the 40% off code that was for check-ins on or after 8/21. They had pretty limited availability there before the promo even started. I was fortunate enough to get a preferred room @ POP for 8/26-9/03 when I called on the 9th. The CM I spoke with said std. rooms were already sold out but I've seen a few people post they were able to get one so they must have had just a few rooms they held back for the general public calling first thing this morning.

Is there anyway you can adjust your dates a little. There is a working link now for booking online and perhaps you can fiddle around with the dates some to get POP. I'm such a dork, I don't know how to post the link, but it's listed a little further down the page.

Seriously? You'd give up Free Dining just because you didn't get your first choice of hotel? We wanted ASMo, but we took POP because our first choice was sold out. When we go to Disney, we're there to enjoy the parks -- our hotel is for sleeping and swimming.

Guess I didnt realize how lucky I got til just now. Got in about 30 mins after they opened the phone lines and got the 16th to the 22nd at the pop with no problems. Good luck to all of you.
