Pop Century is Far Out!

kona cafe but Donna can't have any unless she posts:wave:

Tyler - If we arrive at PC at 10AM on Opening Day; will we be able to check in then? Or will there be ceremonies to open the Resort? Should we figure on arriving a bit later?
Thanks

Tyler, thank you very much for all the information you have posted here for us. I appreciate all the time you have spent getting us all excited about Pop Century. Thank you.

PS Besides being a helpful cutie, you know how to spell.:)

The Kona Cafe is at the Poly resort.

I was reading the menus on the http://www.allears.net website and it looks like they have a version of Tonga Toast at the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom. I didn't even know they offered breakfast there!

This time we are going to the Kona, but next time we may time the Rainforest Cafe.

Tyler,

I can't wait for your opening day report!!!!!

OK Gang.....

There is a thread that Majestic made...he created a very cool database of info....I just put my dates in!

Look for the thread called "want to know whos going to the world when you are? Read inside"

Give it a try - I know there are some peeps missing on the opening day info!!!

have fun!

You sure can. Just be sure to let the Cast Member know when you're checking in. Depending on how busy we are, it might not be available, but we can sure try!

Tyler, can you give us any info on how the room charge works? Can you use cash, traveler checks, debit, credit cards? If you use a debit or credit card, do they charge a certain amount to it right away?

I've read so many different things about how this is done. I'd love to get an answer from someone in the know.

When you check in, you will be asked if you would like to be able to charge things back to your room. If you say yes, it can be done in a number of different ways. The first and most common way, is that you can leave a credit card number on file with us. This can be the same card you used to pay for your room, or a completely different card. At this point, the card is verified, but not charged. Value resort guests get a $500 limit, Moderates get a $1,000 limit, and Deluxes get a $1,500 limit. When you reach the limit, your card will then be charged. If you would like to then start a new $500 cycle, you may do that. I beleive you would need to call the front desk, or stop by.

You may use traveler's checks or cash as well... but you must give us the money up front, and then we set the limit to how ever much you give us.

Charging privledges are typically given only to the Adults in the party, however, you can request certain people to have them, or to not have them. It's up to you.

Will guest services be located at the same counter as check-in? Will the same CM be able to check you in and then handle any guest service items for you...such as PS or special events tickets...etc.

Yes, the Guest Service counter will be on the same counter as the Check In/Out. There will be signs and different queue lines for each. However, whoever checks you in can also help you out with passes, priority seatings, and anything else you might need.

The only thing that you might need to go to Guest Services seperately for would be certain special events like Candlelight Processional. But I could be wrong. I know we're trying to do things differently than other resorts. Our management team is real big on guest service, and minimizing time needed to hop here or there.

Tyler,

Every time you answer a ???, I think of another one. Do you know if there are VCR's in the rooms @ PC?

Thanks again!

No, there are not. However, you may bring your own.

I missed the castmember preview, had to work. I am so looking forward to seeing the finished result, though!

Any word on when the rest of the resort will be completed?

Tyler,

I know that somewhere in this post you had a map of PC but I don'y remember what page it is on  Could you please help me  :sunny:

Yuck....I agree with Mousesaver, way too much sugar. I don't think I could handle it and certainly would not buy it for my kids. I can't even imagine the type of high it would give them, besides rotting their teeth out.

Is anyone else going to immediately look at the CM name tag when they check in, and REALLY hope it reads, "Tyler" ???? :hyper:

Hello all! Since my sister Karen outed me, I thought I'd stop lurking and come out into the light.

As for the marshmellow french toast, I say "bring it on"...you can never have too much fluff!
