Pop Century...here we come!!!! Anyone else?

We are staying at POP Sept 13 -18. Who else is staying at POP between now and Sept? Any POP newbies like me? Any POP tips??

WE WILL BE THERE SEPT 17-23....THIS WILL THE 4TH TRIP....POP HAS BEEN THE RESORT OF CHOICE ALL THE TIME....THEY HAVE A ZERO ENTRY KIDS POOL....WITH FOAM AROUND THE EDGES....THE FOOD COURT IS GOOD...THEY HAVE GOOD CHOICES....THERE IS AHUGE GIFT SHOP...THE LAKE IS GREAT TO WALK AROUND....YOU CAN SEE ILLUMINATIONS FROM THE 50'S AND 60'S BULIDINGS...AN THE HAVE THERE OWN BUSES THEY DON'T SHARE WITH OTHER RESORTS......ATMOSPHERE IS TOTALLY FAMILY FRIENDLY.....THE BEST BUILDINGS ARE THE 50'S AND GO' AND 70'S ANYTHING ELSE IS A HIKE TO THE MAIN HALL....

It's our third time there, and I'm really looking forward to doing some of the things we haven't gotten to before.

Letting DS color with sidewalk chalk, ride big wheels, play on the playground, get drenched by the water flowers by the kiddie pool...my list could go on and on!

And if I'm in the food court at the right time, I'd love to do the twist!

I know...I'm a Disney dork.

Taking DGD and adult DD for their 1st time so I hope
it was the right choice....alway stayed at moderates

Hey All

We'll be there from 8-11 May at POP and then 11-13 at Grand Floridian.
We've been to POP once back in Sept. 07 and it's our first time to the GF.
I am so excited!
Last time we were in the 90's building at POP, but this time I booked a preferred, so I hope we get the '50s, but I know it's all just luck.

It's so much fun there and all the staff was extra friendly. The pool is great and the wait time for the buses was minimal.

It is nice to hear the bus wait was minimal! Hopefully I will be so lucky in Sept!!

Hi there, I too am going to POP on Sept 14th-20th! We are planning on doing the MNSSHP on the 16th which is my daughters 8th bday! Should be a good trip! Are you doing the FDP and doing any character meals? I have never taken my daughter and the last time I went was about 10 yrs ago and went with a bunch of girlfriends from work....well my friend and I actually only had like 5hrs at MK not much at all! SO I plan on making my trip well worthwhile!
Where are you from? We are in Ontario and flying out of Buffalo. I love this site to read up on things I have no clue on!

Hey Popper Peeps!
I'll be there in July. This will be the third stay at Pop for DS12 and me! Last year, we thought we'd try out CSR. It was lovely. But it wasn't Pop! DS insisted that we go back to Pop. I agreed.

Now to make it even more interesting...we are playing host and hostess to our first ever family Grand Gathering--Sis and her DH, her DS16, her DD11, our parents, and our grandmother. My parents took Sis and me to WDW back in 1977; other than that, it'll be everyone's first trip. So DS and I are extremely excited to show them our happy place!

I'm a WDW t-shirt makin' kind of girl. One of my faves is one I did for DS a couple of years ago with the Pop logo and his name in the Disney font. If anyone is interested, I can post the Pop logo I used--it is almost impossible to find one online that's a high enough resolution to enlarge enough for a shirt, but this one works greats so I've held on to it for years. Here are photos of the shirt...(I wish I had a better full-on shot, but this should give you an idea!)

DH and I will be at POP 7/5-7/12 and POP is our favorite value resort.
We have stayed at the moderates and for the money and amount of time we spend at the resort POP is best for us.
As far as tips go, just have a great time. The resort is colorful, playful and themed very well. Take time to look at your map they give you in your check-in packet. Sometime a long haul to the food court can be shortened if you look at the map and try a different route.
Everone have a great time!!

I didn't know about the sidewalk chalk. I'll have to check into that. My DS loves to draw. Great suggestion!!
