I am staying in Pop Century the week after Christmas with my Wife and our Best Friends. Does anyone have any suggestions, secrets, or certain information that will help make our trip any better. I have stayed at all the other value resorts before and loved every trip. The noise, children, crowds, etc that come along with the value resors do not really both any of us. We are all 23 years old and pretty easy going. But are there certain times that are best to go to the food court, or certain food there that are better then others? Any information like that would be awesome!!! Hope to hear form y'all soon.

You're going to love POP1 We've stayed at Movies and have found POP to be a more fun place to stay. Some tips? The food courrt get busy after8 am, but is usually empties after 10 - 11. The kids meals are great values for those on a budget. If you get a top floor room with a lake view it's usually a little more quiet than some of the preffered rooms (our room in the "Mickey Phone building" with the lake view was really nice.) Hopefully you'll get to see the CM's doing the Hustle - my 7yo thought that was hilarious! The transportation is never a problem - there is a bus every few minutes. Hope this helps a little - Have Fun!!!!!!!

donnt take the rubics cube building..its a mile to ealk anywhere...bring earplugs because you will hear everynoise in the rooms around you..donnt take pool view its very noisie,,,get the lake view if you can..and ask for upgrade to 50s building..we get it each time we go..its the biggest resort disney has in the value..so be prepared for long waits each day..

The walking and noise won't bother us to badly. But that is good to know about the Rubik's Cube building. Ill keep that in mind. I think i requested the Power Wheels building, how is that one?

Thanks for the info about the food court. That will come in very helpful. It is also good to hear the transportation is good form the resort because In the beginning I had heard differently. What time and where do they do the Hustle though? My wife is a Middle School Dance Teacher and would love to see that and take pictures.

I am going in may with my two boys . I know we do not plan to be at the hotel much. Just to sleep . Thanks for all the tips for the pop. I am not sure what part we are sting in yet.  I can not wait.

I'm not sure if it's on a time schedule. There is a constant stream of music throughout the resort. We just happened to be in the lobby area when the nusic came on and all the CM's started dancing right there in the middle of the lobby!!!

Just back from POP this afternoon - check in was a breeze - we paid for preferred room & really don't think where we ended up at was really preferred because it was quite a hike. BUT.........much less distance than the Rubik's cube one we had 2 years ago! Only ate in Food Court yesterday & it wasn't busy at all. Pools were so uncrowded, no matter what time of day we were around them. That was the nice part. Bus transportation was great. The only time we really waited on a bus was for EPCOT yesterday. Seemed like every other park bus was coming except for EPCOT.

Enjoy your vacation............

I stayed at POP 2 years ago and I loved it! we stayed in the 50's decade! you can see Illuminatons from your room if your on the top floor! and you can see the spaceship earth ball. I'm trying to remember my room number but I can't remember sorry! is it 5018, no no, that was the room number on the Wonder. I can't remember sorry!

The front desk CM's do the hustle at 5PM and the food court CM's do the twist at 8AM.

Have fun - you'll love POP!

The "Power Wheel" is a 70's bldg and some of the room are "preferred". I have stayed there, and found the location to be ideal - close to food court, buses, and parking lot - but not overlooking a noisy pool. Try the "tie-dye" cheesecake in the food court - yummy treat. Have fun! :wizard:

I stayed in the Rubik's building last year. It was a bit of a hike to get anywhere but we all do need the exercise, don't we? :) I didn't hear noise from the other rooms and we were third floor. Wasn't facing the pool so it wasn't a factor as far as noise level went.

I am staying at the Pop the first week in Nov. with my husband, my 4 and 5 year old children as well as my parents. This is our first family trip and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on what building to request. We are looking for limited walking due to my father's bad knee. Can anyone help?? princess:

There is a very good informational thread ~100's of posts just dedicated to all things POP. Its so big I started from the end.

Wanted to say thanks for everyone giving there input. All the suggestions have really helped. Thank you to everyone very much!!! I can't wait to go and am looking forward to the Pop Century VERY VERY much!!

We have a preferred room reserved for 11/1-11/7. I see alot of people have different opinions about the BEST room location so if those of you who have been to POP a few times, would you give me a list of the best (and worst )locations?

We are going to make sure getting connecting rooms is our #1 request but thought I'd we'd also request a good location if possible.

Thanks!
