Pop Century feedback

Hi Everyone,

Well, I am looking for some honest feedback from all of you. I want to know your opinion of Pop Century if you have stayed there. I will be staying there the 1st weekend of Dec for a long weekend. I am hoping it is a slower time of year and will be a little quieter than the usual mob.

We usually don't spend much time at the resort and really use the facilities like the pool because we are always constantly on the go. By the way, it is just my DH and I....nope, we don't have children

So, I would just like to get a feel before our trip coming up. I'm sure it will be great...Disney is always great!

We stayed there last September (2006) and it is just DH and I. We are in our mid 30's and also no children. We loved the place. We didn't use the pool because we were always up early to catch a bus to the park to be there at opening and we would stay all day and not return until after the park closed. We had no complaints about POP at all. Already planning our next trip there in two years.

We stayed there this past August and LOVED it, so much so that we are going back next August. Our group is me, DH, and DS(4) and this next trip DNephew(14). We stayed in the 80's building, which was far enough away from the main building that you didn't get all the noise from the main pool, but close enough that it was a 3 minute wal to the food court, buses, etc. We did find the food court to be crowded pretty much EVERY time we went in (no matter what time of day) but since we only ate there 3x during a 10 day stay it didn't really bother us. We really only went in to refill our mugs and were on our way.

I also found the computer pool to be much more realxing. The hippy dippy pool was great first thing in the morning (around 8:30) but once lunch time hit it seemed to become a mass of humanity, which again didn't bother us as we only used this pool twice.

Never waitied more than 5 or 10 minutes for a bus to go anywhere, but these bus stops seem to be the farthest from any enterance to the parks. The only bus issue we had was coming back from AK. It seemed to take forever. We came out of AK, back tracked to pick up people at BB, and then back to POP...I swear we passed the McDonalds off he Oscela Parkway 4 times!

We stayed there last October. We are an older couple. Pop is very
cute, and the rooms were very comfortable. My only complaint is that
is a busy place! (A happy place, but a busy place).

have stayed at Pop 2 years ago, loved it, going back this weekend!

the food court is much better than the all-stars, love the lake you can walk along, the theming is wonderful - really looking forward to it again!

I stayed there with DBF in September for 9 nights. We are booked again for next September already and can't wait to get back! We had thought about booking a moderate or Wilderness Lodge just to change things up but couldn't justify the price difference when we loved our stay at Pop.

Our first POP stay was July of 2005. Since we spend most of our time away from the room, the decision to stay at POP was perfect.

We're heading back Dec 8th to thr 15th and staying at POP again. For the money, can't beat it!

Thanks everyone for the info. All sounds like we made the right choice.

And if you are curious, we are DVC members, so, we usually stay at SSR or OKW on our points (prior to DVC, we usually stayed at CBR or PORFQ), so, we haven't ventured over to Pop or All Stars yet. This is a first for us and we are looking forward to it. I love new things!!!

And for the one in regards to the other threads, I didn't even put 2 and 2 together with the POP in the titles....silly me. Guess I was just so excited to put up my own post that I got overzealous and didn't read the others.

hey I am a DVC owner too and love Pop.

have only in all 5 trips stayed in the 50's section love it!!!!

like a view of the lakes better than the pool.

the pool views are all preferred if they are also close to the food court.
