Pop Century check in question

I decided to book a room only on June 23rd from a non Disney site. Our official check in for our Disney Vacation is the 24th. Will they let us stay in the same room for our intire stay? Will I have to go to checkin the next day for the new reservations or to active the magic bands.

We were just at Pop in March and, like an idiot, when I first entered the reservations, I shorted us a day. I hate calling the reservation line so I just did a room only reservation for the last day. We did online check in for the first part of our stay and I got the text. The line was super long at check in, so I skipped it that night instead of asking about it. I went really early the next morning when there was no one else in line and asked if we could stay in our room for the last day. She told me sure, don't bother coming to check-in and stay where we were.

There's never a guarantee, of course, but they do try to accommodate you.

We have had mixed results. Sometimes they have had us move and other times, they let us stay in the same room. Do you have the My Disney Experience number for the first part of they reservation? I would suggest getting that, putting both in your MDE, and then calling to see if they could link the reservation. Also when you check in, ask about staying in the same room.

You can call hotels.com or Disney and get your Disney conformation number to link it. I was actually just reading about doing this with hotels from cheap tickets/expedia/orbitz here. That would help!
