Hi,

I assume there is a bus that runs from Pop to Typhoon Lagoon. Is the bus direct, or does it stop at other resorts? Also, how often do the buses run to and from Typhoon Lagoon?

One other question, how much are taxis at Disney? Does anyone have a phone number handy.

Thanks in advance for all replies.

My only complaint w/ disney transportation in June was the bus from Pop to/from Typhoon Lagoon. I did send a letter to Disney telling them what a wonderful week we had and made a note of this one little glitch in the disney transportation system- they called me back to let me know that they were going to address that issue.

The bus from Pop to TL was ok- crowded in the afternoon/evening b/c it shares with downtown disney but they came every 15-20 minutes in the morning hours. But leaving TL and returning to Pop was a terrible wait. 45 minutes to 90 minutes between busses to Pop- if the bus filled up at DTD then they skipped TL pick up. Unless they've addressed that issue, we'd be taking a cab back to the hotel from TL.

Thanks. LizinSTL, boy that is sure some wait. Thanks for the info. Hope they address that issue by the time we go at the end of September. I'll def. keep that in mind if we do TL.

Is there anyone whom guests can call on the spot regarding excessively long waits for buses?

Filling up and skipping TL without an additional bus (run as directed?) sent for 6o minutes or more is unacceptable. Perhaps some guests should ask Disney to reimburse them for cab rides should this happen.

This problem must'a happened at the old "West Side" bus platform years ago resulting in more guests taking the hike back to the Planet Hollywood platform. In turn lwith few people at the former platform service was discontinued from there.

When TL closes, and also when storms hit suddenly, there is a mass exodus of cars that greatly delays the buses exiting TL. Disney Transport needs to change over to separate TL and DD buses when this happens. A long range solution is to make the entering (uphill) roadway two lanes but restricting entering traffic to one lane. The new lane becomes a contraflow lane for exiting buses only to bypass cars in the real exit lane, and security officers at the bottom of the hill direct buses into traffic.
