Pop Century Availibility for Free Dining

I was just playing to see if there was any availability now that so many people have switched with the upgrade. It's still showing no availability at Pop.

I found a little available at Sports with the odd stay at Music I think it was.

While we are there it is only showing FW, SS Villas, and OKW Villas. 09-15 / 09- 22. Wonder how booked it will be and if they will offer more people upgrades !

I think that there will be alot of cancellations as the full payment due dates get closer. I was told that alot of people book with the hopes of coming and don't mind putting 200 down knowing they can get it all back. Only problem is the free dining promo ends in June. It would be nice if it was extended, but I kinda doubt it. I would continue to check every day until the promo is over. People cancel every day!

I was able to book two preferred rooms at Pop Century this morning with Free Dining at the end of August.

We are booked 9/7-9/16 at Pop. We just called to try to add a day and leave the 17th. Pop has rooms available but CM told me none available with free dining. There is room at AS Sports for the extra night but there is a 3 night minimum to get the free dining. The only option given is to move our entire stay to Sports. I prefer Pop over Sports so I think we'll just have to come home the 16th.

I doubt there will be cancellations because people won't cancel until close to the 45 day limit on deposit refunds. That date will be past the free dining so we still couldnt add a day.

Main reason for wanting to come back monday is the lower airfares than sunday. Oh well.

Huff, thats not what several CMs I have spoke to said. I was told you can INCREASE your days (we have 11 and might up to 13) as long as they are available. I asked about the free dining ending shortly and was told that if the rooms are available, they will let you extend your trip with the free dining even after the promo ends. I said I wont know until a couple of weeks before if we want 11 or 13 days. I just needed to let them know 5 days ahead of time

I cancelled four POP preferred rooms this moring when I got upgrade to SSR.
Maybe you got ours.

Thats good to know. Right now there are rooms available at Pop but not with the free dining. I will keep checking and hopefully it an extra night will open up. I had thought we wouldnt be able to extend after the free dining booking date passes.

Ok - I've gotta ask - why are people getting upgraded??? We are staying at Pop 9/14 - 9/23. Are they doing it randomly or for people in some sort of "club".

A bunch of people got free upgrades to SSR or OKW, semi-randomly. There's another thread on this board with details.

It appears to only be for those staying late august through labor day weekend. Not sure why exactly they are doing this other than trying to market DVC. I doubt Pop is 100% sold out that time. They do limit how many DDP'ers there are at each resort. Possibly they want to spread the crowd out and sell more value nights without having to increase bus service etc.
