In general, yes. But how quiet any section is will be 100% dependent on who your neighbors are.

I always ask for a top floor to minimize noise from above, and I would avoid a pool view.

Yup.

My stay was in a room in 50s building 1. We faced the front of the resort, but overlooked a large green space. It was very quiet. It was also a great location as it was very close to the food court and bus stop.
