Pop Century -- any reason for "pref" room?

I've booked a room at Pop Century for 12/19-12/22, and got the AAA rate of $69.60/night for a "preferred" room. I could save $10/night by staying in a "standard" room. What's the advantage (if any!) to the preferred rooms?

The preferred rooms are supposed to be closer to the buses and food court.

I have stayed in preferred and the 70's. Save your $10. 70's and 50's are actually a little quieter with less traffice, and really close to the food court and pool.

I was just there and stayed in the 50's building. I felt the walk to the main building was close enough, even though it isn't the preferred building. I guess it's up to you, $10 a night could add up. Maybe if you stayed in one of the non-preferred you could use that extra money for something else

Also stayed in 50's and it was perfectly fine - truly! When i booked this time they had preferred available and I thought about it for a second and decided I would enjoy the money saved

60's is actually farther from the parking lot. 70's is closest to busses and Food court.

We paid the extra $10 to stay in the 60's section and I wouldn't do it again. So many of the buildings are close enough to Classic Hall that I just don't find it necessary unless you're coming in very late and absolutely *need* to be relatively close to CH. That would at least guarantee that you don't get stuck out in the furthest room in the furthest 90's building. But if you're coming in early in the day I wouldn't worry about it.

i agree with all the above..we stayed there in feb and was in the preferred....we are the in december and we are not doing the preferred again...all the buildings are close enough.....save your money...
