Pop Century Ammenities

Hi all we are staying at the Pop in August for the first time, and being that it is a value resort I was wondering if it had hair dryers in the room or if I need to pack my own. Also if you have any other tips on things I might need that they don't supply in the room that would be great. Thanks

There are hair dryers and they work quite well. I forgot my curling iron and was able to make do styling my hair with the dryer for 7 days! This was at the beginning of March, so humidity was not a factor. I say save the space in your bag and don't bring one!

They are adequately sized rooms, but if you have 3+ people I would suggest bringing some kind of big laundry bag that you can hang on the adjoining room door. We found this really helped keeping things clean. I used a huge ziploc bag and then we took all the air out and it fit in one of our suitcases easily. The only thing you have to watch with this is the weight if you are flying.

They do have hair dryers in the rooms but they are the standard wall mounted ones you see in any hotel room. If you have very long or thick hair, you might want to bring your own.

A Disney value resort has everything a regular hotel room would have. Toiletries, ice bucket, plastic cups, room safe.

One thing I do find handy with really any hotel room is to pack an extension cord. There's usually only one easily accessible outlet (not in the bathroom) so the cord gives you more outlets to plug things into. Not great to unplug the laptop to charge up your phone and recharge your camera batteries.

We always bring one of the pop up laundry baskets. I purchased ours at Walmart. When we do laundry I bring the basket along with us. We also bring our own detergent for washer along with a roll of quarters. We bring bathroom cups as well. I know they give you plastic cups wrapped but we save those for beverages as we usually get a refrig.

Other fun things about Pop..

They have a GREAT selection of food in the Food Court!

The children LOVE the Goofy Jets!

They have three pools to choose from!

The oversized Icons make some great shots! Walk all around and take a bunch of pictures!

The arcade is good sized!

The store has a good selection of novelties to choose from!

IMO this is the BEST Value! Rooms are small but if you're going to Disney and plan to spend every waking hour in the parks ~ WHO CARES!?

We love the POP! This will be our 4th stay and we are hooked. It just has a fun Disney feel to it. There is definately a hair dryer and I believe we had to call for an iron and ironing board (could be wrong -but I don't think it was in the room already-but could be wrong).

Thanks guys for the helpful info. I looked on the pop site and it only said it was available and I didn't want to pay for one when I could bring one for free. Having never stayed in a value we weren't sure what all was there.

There has always been a iron and iron board in all the Disney resorts I've stayed at from Value on up.
