Are the beds typical budget hotel beds? Are the pillows thick and foam?
I know it sounds crazy but even after a hard day at the parks, I never sleep well in hotels, even on the heavenly type beds. Remember the old fairy tale the Princess and the Pea? I think I am related to her. I change my sheets at home so often my husband is considering therapy :rotfl: cause I can feel the tiniest particle of ANYTHING foreign on the sheets.

Basically you are crazy. I sleep so good at Pop I am thinking about calling them to find out what mattresses they have so I could get one for my home.

But as I said before you are basically crazy.

I hope this dosen't make you feel bad, but as I said twice before you are pretty crazy.

Again, I think I can identify the fact that you are crazy, because I'm crazy too.

Good Luck with you insanity.

The bedding and pillows at POP were fine, it was the noise from my neighbors that kept me awake. We won't hurry back. :guilty:

Other than only being a full sized bed the bed slept GREAT used my own pillow tho.

Wish I had that nice of a bed at home

I feel the need to reply again that the neighbor/noise issue can happen at ALL disney hotels. We were up all night the entire week of our Poly stay thanks to people running/talking loud in the halls and our neighbors constant talking and outside traffic was quite loud at all hours when we stayed at POR. Neither instance would keep me from staying at either hotel again. I loved both hotels but that's the chance you take at a hotel. If I am in a situation where the outside/neighbor noise is keeping me awake every night, I'd call the front desk and asked to be moved to a quieter room... but that's just me. :rolleyes1

We had a king size bed at POP last week and slept well there every night. The pillows were nice and fluffy, I normally think that hotel pillows are too skinny as I use two, but these were fine. Room temps were good too, we never even had to adjust it while we were there.

No noisey neighbors, just a few people coming in one night, but it was Labor Day Weekend, after that very quiet. You can hear a few toilets flush if you are in the bathroom yourself, but not an all the time thing..go and enjoy.. :sunny:

WENDY IS MISSING POP ALREADY......:(

I had to respond to this post. The beds at the Pop are the worst. For ten days my back killed me. The only good thing about going home was my bed. I don't think I had a good nights sleep the entire time I was there. This goes for my husband, mother, sister, two kids, and my brother in law. So I know it was not just me. The matress was so thin and it kept falling off. My sister and I later laughed about it. Let me say this. I don't go to Disney for the beds. I'm not sure if the beds at the other hotels are the same.

Just thought I'd post some photos of my Pop Century room from last year (I haven't gotten around to posting my photos of this year's Pop Century room, but it was identical -- except for its location, that is ;) ).

Janet2k - Please tell me more about the gift baskets. They look really nice! What was in them and where were they ordered from? Thanks!

We found the beds to be VERY good. I had heard some bad reviews and was very worried, but the moment we walked in and I sat down, I was like....are these people crazy? It was very comfy!

As for hearing neighbors, we didn't at all, not even the ones in the connecting room! As a matter of fact, we found it quieter than POR, where you heard almost non stop toilets flushing...which didn't bother us at all. Also, POP was sold out when we were there last weekend, so it was plenty full.

sounds like the comfy bed votes are beating out the terrible bed votes. I will just take my own pilly and hope for the best!

My3princes, you're welcome. The rooms aren't the largest, that is true, but they were plenty big enough for my family of four.

Lacy1101, the gift baskets were ordered for us by a fellow Dis'er. She wanted to surprise us with them and she certainly did. The baskets were created by the Disney Florist (click here). Here are two photos:

One of the baskets contained various pieces of fruit. The other basket contained a large box of Disney chocolates, a candle with a silver-colored Mickey head top, bottles of water, a bag of Mickey pretzels, various other munchies, and two plush dolls (the Sorcerer's Apprentice & Minnie Mouse). A bouquet of helium balloons accompanied the gift baskets. Everything was wonderful.

I have used the Disney Florist myself and have been pleased with their work. If you don't see something that you like on their website, ask them to create a custom basket or floral arrangement for you. Give them your budget and they will work within it.

I hope that helped.

I was just there in July and had a king bed. I slept wonderfully on it. The pillows were fine too, but I still always use two. :)

I've slept in a POP bed for a total of 20 nights, and will spend 10 more there in a few weeks. the beds and pillows were perfectly fine and comfy. ::yes::

Agreed! ::yes::

Janet2k - Thanks for the info! I looked at the Disney Florist website. I am surprising my DH with a round of golf at The Magnolia while we're there. I just might have to order the golfer's basket!
