So happy you started your trippie. It's stinks about your camera. Sorry about your bad nights sleep. You know i would have probably tried to switch rooms . but I guess I'm a bit of a complainer and I don't like the ground floor at Pop. I love Everything Pop such a fun store/ foodcourt. Samantha is very pretty and she looks more grown up than last year. I didn't realize how much Kaylee had changed until I looked at October 2007 trip pics. The smilies aren't today for some reason???

I am thinking of putting a request for the 50's section, close to the great hall. We were in the 70's and that was nice. I just don't want to get stuck in the 80's!

Your travel day sounds great and guess who did that "not in disney, not in disney" thing on her last trip? (and every time I thought of you! )

That's too funny that they don't have a kid's meal with a hotdog, but they have an adult meal with a hotdog!

It stinks that your room...well...stinked! Glad you didn't let it ruin anything!

Glad to see you were able to start! Still bummed your camera hasn't show up. I hear you on the noise at POP. We were on the first floor at ASSports..for half a day. It was way too noisy for us and I know we would have never been able to rest. I am glad the rest of the week wasn't too bad. Can't wait for more!!

Thankfully the noise was not an issue after our first night, but I can definately see how the first floor can be much noisier. We've always been on an upper floor and Sam actually prefers it that way - she likes to climb the stairs. And you are right, the difference between 7 and 8 is quite a bit - she is getting way too grown up.

I've only ever been in the 50's or 60's section for some reason. The only thing missing from our first night was sitting by the pool with you!

Did you really do the "not in Disney" thing? Very cool!

It's nuts about the no kids hot dog - and the adult one is giant! Thankfully she discovered she liked the pizza so she ended up eating a lot of that.

I almost got those plates for my new kitchen - but didn't.

Thanks Julie. I always like to relax a bit the first night since I know there won't be much resting the rest of the trip! I've never had a problem with a smelly room before - hopefully it was just an isolated incident.

Disclaimer *** In case you are just tuning in, I lost my camera on our last day of vacation so my TR will have very limited pictures. I do have copies of my mom's pictures but she didn't take very many. ***

OMG...I feel your pain! I've lost cameras on vacation twice in my life. Once I left one in a rental car, and remembered when I was on the plane!!!

This most recent trip we brought a laptop, and I dumped the pics to it nightly. She also made me back those up daily to flash drives. Overkill, I know, but after such a loss (and that's a HUGE loss as you know now) we figured it was worth it.

Oh no! I'm so sorry about your camera too! Ever since I lost mine, I've heard lots of stories of other people having the same problem.

I think replacing your dishes with the Mickey ones is a fabulous idea. Of course, that me lead to redoing your entire kitchen with a Mickey theme. That wouldn't be so bad, would it?

Hi and Welcome! I'm glad you found me. We really love Pop and have never had a problem with noise before. We weren't affected by noise on the other nights of our trip so maybe it was just a bad night? And I really think the first floor rooms are worse than the upper floors - so request something not on the ground floor. Pop is such a fun resort - I hope you try it!

I am planning another update this weekend - I have been swamped with work and will be until tomorrow. Then I can get back to the important things - like DISing.....

We loved it!!!!!! Infact, we miss it a bit The rooms were bigger then SSR and only $80/night, no tax. They charge based on your rank. My husband might be re-joining the Navy soon...it'd be fun to stay there once in awhile when we aren't using our DVC.
