If we are staying at POP what is the most convenient rental car company?

We have used 'dollar' renting from the Regal Sun Resort Lake Buena Vista. We take the bus from Pop to Downtown Disney & walk the short distance to the Regal.

Don't need a cab to rent from Enterprise at the car care centre, they send a FREE shuttle to your resort to pick you up!

When did Enterprise move into the Disney Car Care center? We've used them a couple of times and it's always been National/Alamo.

regal sun Dollar has a shuttle also. They will pick up

I second that -- Dollar at the Regal Sun is way closer than the Car Care Center.

Another on-property option is Hertz, which is located in the Shades of Green lobby.

Someone (in a power position) on this board should make a "sticky" of all the major car rental companies on WDW property.

Just a head's up- Of all the rental companies we've used over the past 10 or so years (and we've used all the major companies), I can honestly say that Dollar provided the worst customer service by far of any of them. YMMV.

Last oct 31, we went to WDW and stayed at POP. We wanted to rent a car to drive to port canaveral for our Disney cruise. We rented from Enterprise. They sent a car to pick us up at POP and take us to their office in the Marriott (I believe). It was only a couple of miles away. I LOVED THE STAFF AT THAT OFFICE. The vehicle I originally reserved did not meet our needs. The gave us a double upgrade which is what we needed and did not charge us one extra penny! They were fabulous. And I plan on using the same office again this Nov. when we rent from them to drive back for our next cruise. I don't think their office is on property but it was way closer than even going to MK from POP. It was like 5 to 7 min in the car. I have the # to that office somewhere in my travel stuff if you need it. Just send me a PM and I'll look for it. Good Luck.
I also found that their cars tended to be the cleanest. Some of the companies we have rented from, looked like pigs had lived in the cars.

Thanks everyone I guess I'll start pricing them out and go from there Thanks! Do you find you get better prices from the companies directly or through sites like hotwire? We have AAA so I guess we can book directly with the company and use that for a discount.

I guess I should have mentioned this in the first post we will be dropping the vehicle off by the Disney cruise terminal. I don't see an alemo by there. Do they have a location near there?
