Poor Unfortunate Souls ~ A Spooktacular Trip Back to the World! UPDATE Reality Check

Awesome update Stef! I can't wait to go to the MNSSHP this year! Your pictures are getting me all excited for it!

Where was that ho down at?

Aww, what a cute night!! First of all, that parade is the BEST parade I've ever seen and I can't wait to see it again!

What a nice experience you had with that CM who was "painting" characters! I love Disney CMs!!! I also really love the picture you got with Donald and Daisy. They look so adorable! And I love that you guys are so casually holding hands in that picture too. So cute!

Thanks,I love the Boo to You parade too, is defo the best one. Dave sometimes plays that and HalloWishes randomly :teeth:

The CM was a great guy, we got chatting to him for quite a while. Is always nice when you have a great CM interaction as their just as passionate about Disney as you are :goodvibes

Another great day! That EOS line is insane! We've gone to Wolfgang Puck's the last couple of trips. I love all the pictures from the party! I think that parade is the best one Disney does. And I love the music. I really wish I would have bought the CD. Weren't you planning on dressing up? I remember seeing potential costumes in your pre-trippie.

Thanks :) That line really was insane my jaw dropped when we walked in the door, but persist we did (as usually we would just walk away from crazy lines).

You should so buy the CD next time. Actually that was also some of my purchases from DTD that day. I bought Four Parks, Wishes CD and the Special Events CD with the Halloween party on (fab CD's).

We were going to dress up, but decided against it as the costumes that we were going to buy were just too expensive and really not worth the money to buy just once.

We were in two minds about costumes as most of the ones I've seen are a bit much for Disney (I thought) but they weren't tarty ones either. However, after seeing what people were wearing last year I have found a costume for this year which should be good enough and I can wear it again for another costume party. You'll have to subscribe to the PTR to find out what it is ;)

looks like another great day!
I love the sound of the trick & treat trails at the party.. and all the unusual characters/costumes that are used! love Daisy's costume princess:

I casually mentioned to DF today that maybe one time, we could combine a trip to Disney with a few days in New Orleans, in October.. that way, we could go see his american football team play.. then to WDW for Food & Wine Festival, and MNSSHP ... and he said that sounded like a plan!! :woohoo:

I am jealous you have more than one D&B bag! I got the white wristlet while we were there... I've heard there's an exclusive range on the DCL ships.. will definitely be buying one of those on honeymoon!

oh and love the magical moment with the CM & the Stitch street art!! we saw someone doing those near Thunder Mountain on our last trip.. he drew Mickey & Minnie I think :)

Emma princess: x

Thanks :)

Coolbeans about throwing New Orleans into one of your trips, I have always wanted to go for Mardi Gras, but it would have to be a girls only hol though.

All in all I got three D&B wristlets. I had to stop there because 1) packing room in suitcase and 2) had to not go too mad. This year I am so getting one from DCL and possibly another coloured one, although saying that there are some other designs on the website I love too like the 55th Anniversary bags for Disneyland :teeth:

Thanks :) The parties are so much fun and I'm so glad we did two we accomplished so much. Well worth the money. You are going to have the best time :goodvibes

That was at Woody's Happy Harvest Roundup at the Diamond Horseshoe Revue. Was cute seeing Woody and the gang dancing away :)

Great update! Looks like another great MNSSHP. :thumbsup2 I love your pictures with the characters - Mickey & Minnie and Donald & Daisy just look so cute all dressed up! :cutie:

Sucks about the bus back from DTD though. :sad2: I haven't been there in years, and the transportation is the reason.

Thanks, was a great party night. Love the fireworks and the parades, so much fun :)

Wow DTD is a bit far when you are staying in the MK area. They really need to do something about their transportation esp when they make all the deluxes share a bus its just crazy!

Great post, love Dr. Facilier he is a really great villain.
I wonder what you will choose to dress as for next year...... I am terrible at picking costumes. Thanks for posting.

Great update! :thumbsup2 So glad that you went to EoS! That place is amazing and I can't wait for another sandwich from there! Oddly enough, I had a "bus ride from hell" directly after having left EoS last August... the bus was so crowded, miserably hot, and the poor little girl behind me was shrieking that she had to go to the bathroom and then was shrieking that she was going to throw up! Let's just say I was happy to see them exit the bus and get the poor thing to a restroom before she had an accident on herself... or me! :rotfl:

Thanks :) Dr Facilier was a great villain and The Princess and the Frog was just a great movie in general :)

You have to subscribe to the PTR to find out ;) Its hard to find the right costume for Disney because you can't be too scary or wear anything too out there. I think for me its hard because the costumes I would get are ones I wouldn't wear again and just couldn't justify spending $50 on something I would only wear once. Are you going to WDW for Halloween this year?

Thanks :) Gosh that sounds horrible and in the August heat, I know that time of year is hotter than September and we find September hot.

Just found your trip report. Love your pictures. Especially the ones at Epcot. You have a great eye and really frame the pictures nicely. The topiary of Chip looked like a Mr. Potatoe Head to me. LOL

I loved the Mickey popcorn thing you got. Is it plastic or what? Is it something that is just offered at the MNSSHP?

Love reading your report. I will be there this Oct and hope to do the Food and Wine Festival along with the Halloween party. Keep up the great updates.

Great updates!

I love reading about MNSSHP! You got some great pictures- love the characters in costumes.

Isn't EOS yummy? Ben left for Germany yesterday and called to tell me he was eating a sandwich from EOS at the Boston airport. I had no idea there was one there, and I was very jealous!

So exciting that you got a longer honeymoon! That sounds like a dream (haha, no pun intended!) trip!

Great update. Looks like you guys had a great time at the party. I agree that EOS is absolutely worth the wait. The times I've been there, the line has always been long, but moves very quickly.

Too bad that you couldn't find the D&B that you wanted. I'm sure you'll find it on your upcoming trip.

Stefy,
I will subscribe to your PTR, I really have enjoyed your report. I will be going next year for Halloween, this was our first year to have AP's and boy they are worth it. We were down at Christmas, Flower and Garden, and a couple of quick trips because we felt like it and are within driving distance. It takes us about 6 hours to get to Orlando, sometimes less!! I would like to dress up but I am not very creative and I would not want to spend a fortune. But, I would really like to, hmmm. I'll have to think about it. Can't wait for your nexy update:goodvibes

Hi and :welcome: Thanks for reading along with us :)

The Chip topiary is a bit odd looking, think its the lips as well

The Mickey popcorn bucket was especially for Halloween and they sold out really quickly. We lined up at a cart on another day as they had two left, but just as we got in line the person up front bought both of them :(

October is a great time to go, with lots on. F&W is so much fun and the parks decked out in Autumn colours and Halloween pumpkins is a great sight to see :)

Great updates!

Thanks :) We love Halloween at Disney too, is the best time of year to go :)

EoS is sooooooooooo good, they are building one in DLRP too, but was closed when we were there last month. Cool that Ben got to have one :)

 Thanks we can't wait to go away again, will defo need it after all this wedding planning :teeth:

Thanks :) It is defo worth it and it did move quickly. Was fun to try and get a fountain drink as everyone was massed round it rushing to fill their cups and trying not to slip or get stuck (that was one sticky floor)

Hopefully I will find the D&B bag this year, but as long as I get my Cruise wristlet I am a ok :teeth: Have you checked out the Disney D&B bags?

Thanks :) Dr Facilier was a great villain and The Princess and the Frog was just a great movie in general :)

Gosh that's so awesome that you can just hop in the car and go to Disney on a whim :teeth: Halloween is so much fun, you do get good interaction if you are in costume, but is just as good without.

I should be getting another update done soon, just need to upload the photos :) Is a special update too :teeth:

Just got caught up... I love all the MNSSHP pics. I can't wait to go this year!!!!

I need to find out where all the special photopass pics are

You're welcome, though I would suggest that you just walk up to the photographer and ask if they have any special shots. I think that's how we got the Stitch ones outside tomorrowland and the Princess & The Frog ones, we just asked :)

The one we wanted but didn't get was the soarin one. Will definetly be getting that this year.

I cannot stand to stay away any longer. :goodvibes I can't wait to read what I have missed!!!!!

Yay you're back. Have missed you here on the boards

Thank you :) You will have a blast at the party, so much fun :)

Just read your last update! and loved it, getting to draw Stitch with the CM is definitely one of those magical moments that make you want to go to Disney rather than anywhere else in the World! I liked the photo you got with the cast member, so nice!:cutie:

Ooooh, that line for Earl of Sandwich looked long! I'm gonna have to warm my mum she wants to go there the night they arrive in Disney, so will warn her to stick it out in line!

Ooooh, D&B wristlets, will they be appearing anywhere in the trip report? I love all the D&B Disney stuff so much!!!
