Honeymoon news...:cloud9: if I could design a disneymoon/honeymoon without consulting my other half (suppose his input is important :headache:) thats what'd look like...

I know this is a really childish reason to want to go on a particular cruise ship but...one word...or maybe two...aquaduck!

Aqua Duck? That will be mobbed by people, Champagne Bar is where it's at baby!

I haven't had time to post the photos yet, lots of work for school at the moment, but I promise I will do it soon!

Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

You are most welcome :)

Wow! That's great honeymoon news!!! Extending your stay at the Poly was really the smart thing to do! ;) And 3-nights on the Dream sounds perfect. BUT you're checking out on the 28th??? We are arriving on the 28th....

Thanks :) I figured you would be leaving as we arrive. Oh well never mind, there is always next time :goodvibes

Wow, GREAT news about your Disneymoon! :goodvibes The Dream looks amazing - can't wait for the TR on that part of the trip!

Awesome update, too! I LOVE that Sunnyside queue area! It wasn't all themed like that when I met Lotso. And looks like another fun MNSSHP; so great that you got to get all those cool PP pics! :thumbsup2

Thanks :) Can't wait to sail on the Dream, will be our first ever Cruise and have a Disney Cruise as our first is going to be awesome! :teeth:

I wonder if Lotso will still be there this year, or if they will put a new character down.

We love MNSSHP, so much fun. Can't wait to watch HalloWishes again and the Parade :teeth:

Thanks :) Will be doing a PTR in March so will PM you for that if you like. Will also incorporate the wedding planning into it too :)

These days you have to ask the PP photographer what special shots they have and hope they do different ones that you haven't already got. Next trip I suggest hitting every PP you come across and asking them which shots they do :)

Can't wait for the honeymoon, is defo going to be a trip to remember that's for sure :)

Aquaduck yes, can't wait to go on that and basically just be on the ship. Can't wait to see all the detail and eat in the restaurants and Castaway Cay, gonna be us, Serenity Bay and cocktails on the beach :teeth:

Can't wait to sail on the Dream, will be our first ever Cruise and have a Disney Cruise as our first is going to be awesome! :teeth

I've never been on a cruise either, and I've never really wanted to, but the coverage coming from the media cruise right now is making me really want to go on the Dream! :thumbsup2 There are FIVE different bars, and they all look amazing!

I am too far behind to make comments on everything.

First, love Dave's snowman. :)

Second, congrats on the Dream and the Disneymoon--it will be great.

I love the Halloween Photopass pictures. And, I even like the ones of you guys with Stitch. ;)

Thanks! We are really looking forward to this trip as I doubt we will be back for at least 2 years after that but fingers crossed, you never know what can happen :)

Glad you liked him, shame he had to melt though.

There is another party night with more characters still to come, dont worry about falling behind though, Stef doesn't have the energy to update everyday so you should catch up easily :rotfl2:

Hi Stefy and Soopafly!
I have been reading your TR and just wanted to say Hi. I have really enjoyed all of your post from Europe to Orlando, it has been a great read. I especially like all of your MNSSHP pictures. Those are some of the best PP pictures I have ever seen. Thanks for taking the time to share and Congrats on your wedding next year sounds like it will be a fabulous time ! You are very well suited for eachother.:goodvibes

We can't wait to try out Skyline and Pink. Its a shame that alcohol isn't included in your package like other Cruises, but I guess it is Disney and certain standards.

I haven't read everything on the media cruise, but am following a few people on Twitter. One Tweeter posted a pic of their balcony and it is huge!!!

Thank you for the lovely comments, so glad you could join us.

Stay tuned for more :)

Great news about the honeymoon!!! So happy for you guys!!! :goodvibes

Thank you :) Everything is really starting to fall into place now, we'll have the last part of this years trip checked off at the weekend, then all we have to do is wait til March then we can start planning :teeth:

The plans for your honeymoon sounds awesome. That's great that you got concierge level on the Dream! That's such a nice way to splurge. And what could be better then upgrading from 7 to 10 nights at the Poly! Sadly, we will miss you there by about a week and a 1/2. :sad2:

Day 9 - Friday 8th October

Hey All, how we doing? Good weekends so far?

Its time for another update, this one isn't as long as the last, but still good.

Today was a
WDWTrip20101426.jpg

Downtown Disney Day. We had a mini lay in before getting ready do head over to DTD for some breakfast at...

WDWTrip20101432.jpg

WDWTrip20101433.jpg

WDWTrip20101434.jpg

I grabbed a latte and cherry danish, whilst Dave went for banana muffin with one of these frozen treats to wash it down, also banana flavour.
WDWTrip20101439.jpg

Sorry, no pics of the food, as we ate it all before realising we needed to take a pic

Breakfast done with it was time for some shopping and Disney shopping at that :teeth: The first store we stopped at was Pooh Bears, picked up a new version of my "Tigger is that you" tee and some other little bits. Such a cute store.
WDWTrip20101441.jpg

WDWTrip20101442.jpg

We wandered around a bit taking our time and pics along the way. Love this Halloween display.
WDWTrip20101443.jpg

WDWTrip20101444.jpg

WDWTrip20101445.jpg

WDWTrip20101446.jpg

Then it was time to hit...
WDWTrip20101449.jpg

WDWTrip20101450.jpg

I love this store, is so huge I love being able to wander around the different parts looking at everything, esp the household stuff.

WDWTrip20101453.jpg

WDWTrip20101454.jpg

WDWTrip20101455.jpg

WDWTrip20101456.jpg

We ended up getting quite a few bits in here, including gifts for family. I also got my first Dooney & Burke Wristlet in Purple. I wanted to get the messenger bags to go with but they didn't have any but recommended we try Tren-D which was our next stop.

Lots of cool clothes and such and they had my Princess D&B Wristlet, so I bought one of those babies in white :teeth: They didn't have any of the messenger bags either. They did have some in MK, but only in Blue and another colour, green I think it was. Was a shame as I really wanted to get myself a pink one, oh well maybe this year.

Dave was starting to get a little cranky with the heat and shopping so we decided to head over to EoS to grab a bite. This was our first time trying EoS as the last time we went to eat here we walked away because of the humongous line!!! Suffice to say this year was no different, but we had heard here on the boards that the line goes pretty quick, so we waited. Good thing you can look at a menu whilst you wait, otherwise it would take ten times longer to order once you get to the front.

8629536b.jpg

It really is off putting, but I think we waited in total around 20mins. So worth it, the sandwiches are just amazing, so can't wait to order me another one this year.

We ended up getting our sandwiches to go as there were no tables in site and the nearest seat was in the baking sun. So we hot footed it over to the bus stops to wait for our ride. I don't think we waited that long, but man was the ride back to the resort hell. It took a total of 1hr to get back, we stopped at Pleasure Island for about 15mins whilst the drivers changed over and the new one checked every possible thing imaginable on the bus. We stopped the CR and was there for 5mins whilst he cleaned up the bus and made some more checks and then finally we made it to the Poly. Thank goodness we weren't at GF.

We got back to the room and lucky for us the sandwiches were still quite warm, so we settled on the balcony for the afternoon. Was cool because we also had our chocolate cake from Cali Grill, that we took to go, for afters and that cake was delicious!

Anywho, here's your food porn. I went for the Hawaiian BBQ and Dave went for the The Holiday Special with turkey, cranberry, gravy etc

We relaxed in the room for the rest of the afternoon before heading to MK for our second party night. We got there before official party time as we wanted to have a quick dinner at Cosmic Ray's. Sorry no pictures, but food was good as usual. Love Cosmic Rays :teeth: I went for my usual chicken and mash with green beans, whilst Dave went for a burger.

We sat and ate and people watched, looking at everyone's costumes. The theme for this year was Alice with alot of Mad Hatters running around, as well as a few Flintstones and Mario Brothers. We decided that next time we just had to dress up. We're already looking at costumes now, Dave is trying to guess what might be the hot costume at the time. We are thinking Marvel as its their year this year for films.

We still had an hour to go before official party time so we headed on over to Toon Town to line up for the fairies. Our first time at Pixie Hollow and was quite cool. We met Terrence, Tink and Vidia.

Terrence was fun joking around asking what treats and trinkets we got, also asked where our costumes were. The theme for the night was "We're dressed as tourists"

Photo0391FourBySix.jpg

Tink was cute, trying to see what was in my bag (which was pretty empty at this point) and was a little disappointed that there wasn't enough to share, but perked up when she saw my ghost and told me to turn the fireflies on.
Photo0399FourBySix.jpg

Vidia was full of attitude, can't really remember what she said.
Photo0406FourBySix.jpg

After the saying goodbye to the fairies, we made our way to Mickey's house.
WDWTrip20101464.jpg

WDWTrip20101466.jpg

WDWTrip20101468.jpg

Said a quick hello to Mickey and Minnie who looked so cool in their costumes.
Photo0413FourBySix.jpg

We wandered back outside and saw these cool guys.
WDWTrip20101470.jpg

WDWTrip20101471.jpg

We got talking to the CM, asking him what other characters he could do and he started to draw another character for us, can you guess who it is? :teeth:

WDWTrip20101473.jpg

WDWTrip20101474.jpg

WDWTrip20101475.jpg

WDWTrip20101477.jpg

WDWTrip20101478.jpg

Stitchy :stitch: We even got to do a bit of colouring in ourselves.
WDWTrip20101480.jpg

WDWTrip20101482.jpg

So cool.
WDWTrip20101483.jpg

The CM was so friendly and nice, wish we had taken a proper note of his name to leave a comment for him. But we did get a pic with.

Great update, Stefy! :thumbsup2

Horror going home on the bus! Yikes! Something I so would not like to go through!

But great you got to do some shopping and enjoyed EoS after all!

Those CMs drawing with the brooms are just incredible! Haven't seen them doing Stitch, and I really love that you got to colour in his eyes! Makes him extra special! ;)

Okay, can't wait for more! popcorn::

We made our way out of Toon Town and came across these guys...
Photo0421FourBySix.jpg

Daisy & Donald. So cute in their costumes aren't they?

It was there and then that we realised our bags were just too empty and that we need to hit some trails. The nearest one was Alice's so off we went in search of a White Rabbit and some candy :teeth: We bumped in Mr Hatter just before the trail started and he kindly posed for a pic.
Photo0427FourBySix.jpg

Then it was off to find some candy, sorry the White Rabbit.
WDWTrip20101486.jpg

WDWTrip20101489.jpg

WDWTrip20101492.jpg

WDWTrip20101493.jpg

WDWTrip20101495.jpg

There were about three candy stations on this trail which was pretty cool and we got some cool goodies.

It was nearly time for HalloWishes so we decided to try and stake a spot nearer the Castle. We were hanging around the railings to the side when I noticed the Rose Garden and the covered area with seating. So we wandered down there and pulled up a bench to sit and wait.
WDWTrip20101498.jpg

WDWTrip20101502.jpg

WDWTrip20101517.jpg

WDWTrip20101518.jpg

Not a bad view from the Rose Garden, but will defo have to try and snag a spot directly in front of the castle, just not keen on standing with the masses.

After HalloWishes we made our way down to Main St to stake out a spot for the second parade. But not before stopping for some PP pics.

Photo0440FourBySix.jpg

Photo0444FourBySix.jpg

We were going to sit in the Hub to watch the parade, but all the good spots were taken, so we wandered down Main St, I also got my very first Mickey Bar too.
WDWTrip20101527.jpg

We also had some entertainment whilst we waited.
WDWTrip20101533.jpg

Love the ghosts floating over the buildings.
WDWTrip20101531.jpg

Balloons!!!
WDWTrip20101540.jpg

Then it was time for the headless horseman to make his appearance, not a bad shot except for that blindingly bright light. Least the picture still came out ok.
WDWTrip20101538.jpg

Boo to You!
WDWTrip20101541.jpg

WDWTrip20101547.jpg

WDWTrip20101549.jpg

WDWTrip20101550.jpg

All of a sudden we heard a loud crack, we looked over and poor Eeyore had taken a fall and the loud crack was his trick or treat basket hitting the concrete. Bless him he looked so sad, didn't help that Tigger started bouncing and laughing at him.
WDWTrip20101551.jpg

WDWTrip20101555.jpg

WDWTrip20101560.jpg

This thing was huge and looked like it was coming towards us at one point.
WDWTrip20101563.jpg

WDWTrip20101570.jpg

Love these guys.
WDWTrip20101571.jpg

WDWTrip20101573.jpg

WDWTrip20101575.jpg

WDWTrip20101593.jpg

WDWTrip20101606.jpg

WDWTrip20101610.jpg

WDWTrip20101612.jpg

After the parade we walked over to the hub to catch the last showing of the Villains Mix and Mingle, as we wanted to get some villain photos for our collection. Not sure if we actually saw the show, Dave took some pics. Oh and when they say the last show is always the quietest, uh uh it wasn't, there was still a big crowd at this showing. Once the show was over we got in line for...
WDWTrip20101623.jpg

Dr Facillier - His hands are so weird.

Then we hot footed it over to another line for a quick pic with...
WDWTrip20101626.jpg

Maleficent

We wanted to try and stay til the end of the party so we wandered over to Frontierland to find another candy station and wandered past a ho down with Woody and Jesse.
WDWTrip20101627.jpg

WDWTrip20101635.jpg

We found Brer Rabbits trail, which was pretty cool going through/under the mountain and got our bags filled with candy, by now we had managed to get a good haul in both our bags, nearly full to the top!

We made our way back to the Hub and took some more PP pics.
Photo0454FourBySix.jpg

and then sat down to watch the masses wander towards the exit. It was at this point that I noticed on the popcorn stands something David had been after since the beginning of the trip a...
WDWTrip20101636.jpg

Mickey Popcorn Bucket. Is so cute.

Whilst we were sitting and people watching we noticed hoof beats coming from around the hub. Turns out that the speakers were playing the headless horseman riding around, he starts at one end of the hub goes round the other side and down Main St then back up. Was pretty cool.

Once the crowds started to thin we made our way towards the exit and on to the Monorail home for tomorrow was going to be a very special day.

Stay tuned.

Great update, Stefy! :thumbsup2

Okay, can't wait for more! popcorn::

Update done :teeth: I tend to do most of it and then have to break it up because of the 25 max pics allowed.

Yes the bus ride was just horrible I couldn't believe it took an hour to get back from DTD, esp when we had hot food on board.

The drawings are really cool and the first we have seen on all three trips. We'll defo look out for him again this year, see who he's drawing this time :teeth:

Aww, what a cute night!! First of all, that parade is the BEST parade I've ever seen and I can't wait to see it again!

What a nice experience you had with that CM who was "painting" characters! I love Disney CMs!!! I also really love the picture you got with Donald and Daisy. They look so adorable! And I love that you guys are so casually holding hands in that picture too. So cute!

Another great day! That EOS line is insane! We've gone to Wolfgang Puck's the last couple of trips. I love all the pictures from the party! I think that parade is the best one Disney does. And I love the music. I really wish I would have bought the CD. Weren't you planning on dressing up? I remember seeing potential costumes in your pre-trippie.

looks like another great day!
I love the sound of the trick & treat trails at the party.. and all the unusual characters/costumes that are used! love Daisy's costume princess:

I casually mentioned to DF today that maybe one time, we could combine a trip to Disney with a few days in New Orleans, in October.. that way, we could go see his american football team play.. then to WDW for Food & Wine Festival, and MNSSHP ... and he said that sounded like a plan!! :woohoo:

I am jealous you have more than one D&B bag! I got the white wristlet while we were there... I've heard there's an exclusive range on the DCL ships.. will definitely be buying one of those on honeymoon!

oh and love the magical moment with the CM & the Stitch street art!! we saw someone doing those near Thunder Mountain on our last trip.. he drew Mickey & Minnie I think :)
