Poor Animal Kingdom....

DS13 & I LOVE Animal Kingdom
We feel out of the 4 parks we need less time at MGM

back2disney

We sat right in front of the castle (on the opposite side), right before spectromagic turns into Liberty Square. We got there at 7:45 and we were among the first to take the spot.

I love AK! It's my second favorite park (right after MK of course). I didn't even get to see any of the shows, because we didn't have time before the park closed! I can't wait to see The Lion King show. :)

This thread has me reconsidering my plans :) We were only planning 1/2 a day at AK, I think maybe we should plan for a full day. Thanks for the review, sounds like you had a great time.

We love doing AK halfway during our week-long trips. It really relaxes me and energizes me. I don't think DH enjoys it quite as much as I do, but I think he gets a kick out of watching me with the animals :) We have our rituals down for AK, which include finding as many secluded trails as we possibly can. I love these areas because they always lead to some type of bird or animal not normally seen! I also never pass up the chance to go visit "Pepper" my black/white goat friend at Rafiki's Planet Watch area. I love brushing those little guys :goodvibes The sheep ALWAYS fall asleep when you brush them ;)

So yes, it is a little known secret that I love AK. The themeing is wonderful, as I always feel I am in a rainforest, or traveling through Asia/India

I enjoy AK more every time I go. DH and I skipped it our first trip and we only went on our 2nd because we were with his parents and his mother is an animal lover. I'm terrified of birds so the first time I was there I was so apprehensive that I couldn't really enjoy it. Then the second time I went I wasn't worried about the bird issue and was really able to appreciate how beautiful and detailed the park is.

I hope this time we get to ride Kali - both times I've been there before it's been too cool.

AK is a great park. There is a great deal to do. I love Dinosaur. Expedition Everst looks to be awesome. I love doing the safari ride first thing in the morning.
