We're staying at SSR next month with 2 dd's (3.5 and 28 months), and have read that they some form of life jackets, but that they aren't good for little ones. Does anyone know if there are vest available, and if they are, how small they go? TIA.

We got life jackets/vests in different sizes for our little ones at OKW and BWV. I'm sure SSR has something similar. We also bring "floaties". The kids are used to them. The yougest I think was a small 3 yo. You must use the strap tha goes between the legs so the vest doesn't ride up and cover the face. I think that is what you've read about them not working for littler ones.

We took our 3 little ones to the pool at SSR and used the life jackets at SSR. Our kids were ages 2.5. 13 months, and 13 months. The jackets were the type that has the strap that goes between their legs. The jackets were the type that I would buy for our boat except that they didn't have the cute pictures on them. Don't worry too much. The ones at the resort are just fine for the kids.

Also wanted to add that all 3 of the kids are small for their age. I think the twins were only about 20 lbs and the 2.5 year old around 30 lbs.

we also used the lifejackets at SSR. They are for toddlers/preschoolers. It was very nice to have them and we were able to hold onto them for the whole stay.
