Just heard that the AOA pool might be gated?? Are any of the other resort pools gated...have never heard of this at a disney resort??

The only WDW Pools I know that are gated are (need room keycard to get in):

Y&BC/BCV - SAB
AKL-Kidani (Villa pool area)
BLT - DVC pool

The Poly pool isn't technically gated, but aren't they now checking IDs and issuing armbands there?

I heard they were checking resort IDs but I haven't heard anything about wristbands.

The Disneyland resort hotels all have gated pools.

I wish they were all gated!!! Way too many people at some pools that shouldn't be there.
I know that when we've been at BCV we had to show our room keys in order to get in, and to get towels. On some occasions though, we were never asked for anything!!!
And at BLT, they solved that issue by making it room key accessible only..you have to swipe your card to get through the gate.

I wish they were as well! Keep the pools to those who are actually staying at the resort like they are supposed to be. Key card entry would be perfect and would help keep the crowds down.

Based on the photos that I have seen, I do not see any gates surrounding the pool.
