Hi everyone,
This is my very first disboards post! I just returned from a quick weekend at AKL with dh (our first stay at a Disney resort!) and we loved that the Uzima Pool had a sort of ramp entry on one side, so anyone less able to do pool ladders or steps could get in more easily.

We are planning a trip to take the whole family back to WDW in May, and would like to try a different resort -- do any of the others have a pool with this type of entry? I think it would be more fun if we can all stay together instead of one of us taking the 2 yr old to the kiddie pool and the other watching the bigger kids in the big pool.

Any suggestions? We are SO hooked on the Disney resort thing!

Thanks,
Kim :wave2:

Many of the pools have the zero entry, which is good with a toddler. I don't remember any with the side ramp thing...I have never stayed at AKL so I cannot even comment on what it is.... I just know that the zero entry is a good bet with small children.

So THAT's what it's called! Sorry for the confusion ... I knew there was a name for it, and I guess I did not describe it very well.

So, anybody know which resorts have a pool with zero entry?

Thanks for any tips!

Kim

GF theme pool, Polynesian volcano pool, the wading pool at SAB (YC/BC), and I believe CSR.

I just returned from the Yacht Club with my 17 month old daughter - the pool there is awesome for little ones. She loved the sand in the pool (it has a sand bottom) and it was a zero entry where she could play in the sand and just walk right into the pool on her own. And there was lots of area that she could walk around on her own. So we could sit in the water next to her and watch her play and it did not feel like we were stuck in a kiddie area. They also have a small water slide there that she just loved. We had to take her down on our laps but she was big enough to do it. We had a blast. Highly recommend it if you have small (or big) children.

You have already received your answers...however, I just wanted to say WELCOME to the DIS!:wave2:

Thanks. We were there for the opening and really liked it. I'm looking forward to staying there when the whole resort is complete (whenever that is!).
