I've read a couple of comments that resort pools have been too warm to actually be enjoyable lately. Is this common at this time of year? We are going to be there the last week of Sept. Can we expect SAB to be more tolerable by then?

Pool is heated to 82. The sun will heat it further. By the end of Sept. it shouldn't be as hot.

We're just back, and I have to tell you that the water temperature at SAB was hot and not refreshing at all!! After our first afternoon there, we vowed to only swim at night which felt a tad better.

I agree that some of the Disney pools are hot. I am always soooo disappointed with Wilderness Lodge's pool temperature. I feel like I am swimming in a hot bathtub. I do not understand the logic of this. The water is not refreshing at all and it certainly does not cool you off. I often wonder why the hotel does not realize this and make a much needed change.

Three weeks ago, I did a niter at the BC. Stormalong Bay was fine; not too hot, nor too cool. Two weeks ago, did a niter at the CR. I went into the quiet pool. That water was like bath water. Very warm, but not uncomfortably so. :)

I agree. We also got back recently, the 26th. SAB was like bath water, very hot. The kids did not mind, but after the parks who wants bath water. We also swam at night, it was a little better.

We were at the CR last week and several days the pool was very warm. The lifeguard said that they put ice in it in the morning but it doesn't help. Finally there were some days that it was a little overcast and the water was a tad cooler. The hot tub/spa was almost unbearably hot.

We just got back from ASMo and took both afternoon and night swims. I went in with the kids in the afternoon and the water was not at all hot, it wasn't cold, it was just refreshing. I didn't swim in the evening but the kids enjoyed it and weren't at all cold.

I agree that the water is too hot...I am just back from POR and the water was too warm...I went swimming to cool off and felt like the opposite happened...very disappointing... :headache:

We live in Houston and have a pool that's NOT heated-our pool temps have been between 88-96 since June and I expect the pool will be that warm for another month. We ususally have our last swim in late OCT.-can't stand to swim when it drops below 80. I'd say we're about the same lattitude as Orlando. No it's probably not refreshing especially if you're from the north. When we lived up north we kept our hot tub at the same temp our pool is now!! Still I would never trade this heat and humidity for cold and snow. :goodvibes

We stayed at the CBR in April this year and we found the water to be quite cold.

I love bath water! I shiver easily. And warm pool is perfect for me. And that's why one of the many reasons why I love POFQ is that the pool is nice and warm. I can just go right in without getting cold. If I want to be refreshed, I take a nice long shower. But when I'm in the pool...I am there to enjoy and fun without shivering.
