Pool visits allowed?

We are staying at BLT in August and friends of ours are staying at Caribbean Beach, they are not DVC. Our trips overlap for 3 days. Can they come visit us and have the kids swim or is that not allowed? We would love to relax a little with them, but don't want to do anything against the rules.

your visitors can not use BLT or CR pools


but you can use CBR pools.

They cannot use any pool but the ones at their resort, you can however head to their resort and use theirs.

As long as you are a DVC member staying on a reservation through MS.

Stormer- I was at a BLT presentation last week....the stipulation for the pool there is that it is only for the use of those guests staying there. You will understand why once you arrive. The pool is about the size of the main pool at OKW.

you can if you and they want after you go swimming at CBR - bring them to BLT to see it. but only with you.

with you they can't even get in the front door. It is the first (and only so far) DVC resort that is lock down.

you can't even get in without a key. unless some one takes pity on you and lets you in.....

Yes, pool hopping is a DVC member perk only if staying on points. So if the OP is staying at BLT as a DVC member booked with Member Services on points, then she is allowed to hop to CBR to use the pool

If she is staying at BLT, paying cash, she is not allowed this perk.

CBR is a much better pool so I would just join them at their resort.

Just checked out of BLT today. My cast member brother and sister were allowed to join us at the pool and the TOTWL. Asked at the "front desk" and it was no problem.

You can't pool hop on those can you? They are not considered a points reservation.

The new Disney Files (almost called it Vacation Magic) says whenever you are using your membership to stay at a DVC resort at WDW or VB, you and the guests staying with you can pool hop. So that should include any cash reservations through MS as well.

But if you use your points to stay at a non-DVC resort or a DL resort through MS, you cannot pool hop.

that is strange. when others have been saying the opposite about the TOWL.

Sorry for the question, but we are new members. I thought you could only pool hop at DVC resorts - but not AKV, BLT, or BCV - not other resorts at DW. Am I wrong about this? You can't wander over to the Polynesian, right?

you can pool hop - to any of the wdw pools - except bc, yc, akl

so yes you can pool hop to Polyn, GF, all the moderate and values pool - if you want too
