I am planning a big trip with approximately 20 people coming with us. I have some staying at Beach Club villas with me and others staying at Boardwalk and Saratoga. There is another family using their own time share staying at Bonnet Creek. My concern is when we want to do pool days with everyone together is this going to be a problem with the other families not staying at the same hotel? If so, any suggestions on how to go about everyone being together at one pool?
Thanks

Officially, only DVC members staying on points have pool hopping privileges.

I suggest you talk to the front desk manager and ask if there is any option available to you. If it is not crowded, you may get lucky and they may allow it. It may just not be possible.

The only real way to do it is everyone goes to a water park at the same time.

Unfortunately, unless they are members staying on their own points at DVC resorts, they are limited to the pool at their resort. Each villa reserved is a separate reservation, so only guests actually staying with you in your villa could pool hop with you. The Bonnet Creek family cannot swim at WDW pools at all. SSR guests can swim at SSR. BWV guests can swim at BWV. You and any guests staying with you can swim at BWV, SSR, BCV. No one can join you at BCV except for the guests staying in your villa at BCV. Showing up with 20 guests at a single resort would be unfair to the guests staying at that resort.

The only way to swim together in one location is to go to a water park. Or take a beach day to either the Gulf Coast or Atlantic Coast.

Pool Hopping Information

When staying on your Membership at any Disney Vacation Club Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort, or Disney's Vero Beach Resort, you and any Guests staying with you are permitted to use most of the other Disney Vacation Club and Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools (in addition to the pool at the resort hotel at which you are staying) if they are not at capacity. If the pool you are visiting reaches capacity, you may be asked to leave in order to accommodate Guests of that resort hotel. Please check with a host or hostess at the front desk of the resort you wish to visit before you go to find out about pool-access availability. You must present your Magic Band or current Key to the World card with your "DVC Member" designation on it to use the other resort hotel pools. Pool hopping is not available at Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Uzima Pool and Samawati Springs Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, the leisure pool at Disney's Beach Club Villas, and the pools at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Resort hotel pools may become unavailable from time to time due to capacity limitations. Due to the high occupancy that is expected, you and any Guests staying with you may not pool hop during the following dates*:
February 16 - 23 (Sun-Sat)
April 12 - April 26 (Sat - Sat)
May 23 - 26 (Fri - Mon)
June 28 - July 7 (Sat - Mon)
August 29 - September 1 (Fri - Mon)
November 24 - 29 (Mon - Sat)
Dec 20, 2014 - Jan. 4, 2015 (Sat - Sun)

*Other restricted dates may be added based on projected pool capacity.

As a reminder, please be mindful of the limited number of pool chairs available, and refrain from leaving towels or personal items on unoccupied pool chairs.

For SAB you have no chance of doing this legally and likely no chance of even doing it at all, the answer is likely the same for BWV. For SSR it might be a little more flexible as you could pool hop there if it's not a time of exclusion and all you'd have to deal with would be the BWV and off property guests. Are any of the others members? Could you rearrange groups so that a member is at BWV as well and could pool hop. A water park, possibly with a Cabana or 2, might be the best option though not the cheapest. The other thought would be to change locations so everyone was at the same place. SSR is the likely option there. Or you could just get a villa or 2 for one night at SSR extra and list everyone so they'd be legal. I doubt WBC would allow it either.

Thanks for your info. I was figuring on this not being able to happen at the pool I wanted to stay at, but being flexible, with your idea Dean, I will look into the suggestion of using a villa at SSR for most of us as an option. The water park is fun too, but the hotel pool is always the best.
Thanks so much.

You could always go to the front desk at SSR and explain the situation and ask permission. Unfortunately there's no way to be certain ahead of time or get a definitive answer until you're there unless you have occupancy that day at that resort for the entire group and/or with legal pool hoping tied in. Even then there really isn't going to be enough space to have a family party with all together I wouldn't think unless you did the water park with cabana. For SSR likely the only place to get enough space would be the quiet pool then you'd still have the risk of complaints. The other option you might consider is whether WBC will allow you to actually rent an area.

I know you probably weren't looking for something that has an admission involved, but Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon are probably your best bets.

The only other alternative I can think of would be to look at the maximum occupancy of the villas you've booked through DVC. Do you have enough capacity to put the family staying at Bonnett's Creek onto your reservations, even though they won't be physically staying in the DVC rooms? For example, DVC will allow you to book 5 into a studio or 1BR, or 9 into a 2BR. If you can get a DVC reservation Magic Band for everyone, you could legitimately all meet at BWV or SSR for your pool day. (Of course, this doesn't work if your DVC rooms have any kind of dining plan.)
