Hi -

We will be arriving at PO-FQ sometime around 1 PM. I am not counting on our room being ready so we are planning to have lunch in the food court and head to the pool. Are there towels available at the pool or do we need to bring them from our room (which we most likely will not have gotten into yet) ? How does this work ?

Also, if anyone has been to the food court since FQ reopened, how did you like it?

Thanks for any info you can pass onto us ! :D Cindy

We stayed at the PO-FQ about a month ago there are towels out by the pool in a box.

As far as the food hmm on a 1 to 10 I would say 5 not bad but not the best but thats just me I have seen outhers that says its the best.

Have fun and be safe.

Ron.

yes.. there are towels at the pool (they actually prefer you use those and leave them there when you leave the pool area). They are different from the room towels (so they can tell, I guess).

What we have done is pack the bathing suits in our carry on bags.. that way we can check the bags with bell services, change in the hotel bathroom and head to the pool!

Thanks for the towel info ... great idea about the swimsuits, too.

Any more opinions on the food court ? Is the one at Riverside considerably better ... I seem to read pretty good things about that one, I think.

Thanks again ! Cindy

we haven't been since they reopened (going in Dec though). We have stayed at POR when it was still dixie landings and the food court was good - a pretty wide selection (for a food court). And at POFQ before the upgrade we liked that as well. I think that you just have to keep in mind that it's a food court, not a restaurant..:) but we've always liked it and found it to be quick and easy on those early mornings...

There was considerable discussion about the foodcourt right after the POFQ opened again the end of May. From what I remember they said it has been redesigned to mirror the one at PORiverside. They have a section where you get baked goods and ice cream. They have another station for pizza and italian foods and yet another for grilled foods. I think there is one more but can't remember what it is for. Overall, people said they liked the design of the POFQ better than the way it was. You go get al your food and then pay for it as you leave the area to go to your table. You might want to do a search and look at those old threads you would probably find some good info. I haven't been since they remodeled it but am looking forward to going in November.

In regards to the pool...there is a set of bathrooms right there by the pool. In the bathroom, as I remember it, there is a spot to change. There are lots of chairs around the pool and they are good about keeping the towels well stocked. You can also get drinks at the pool bar.
