Pool question

I was wondering if kids are allowed to bring pool type toys down to the resort pools ( we will be at the poly ) . Nothing big but maybe some diving sticks/rings ?

I've SEEN kids with pool toys in the resort pools. I don't know if they're actually allowed, or if the kids I saw just happened to not be noticed by the staff.

I think it's okay to bring things they can dive for - but I'm pretty sure they don't allow any type of flotation items, as far as I know. (Though I did have a "pool noodle" into one of the quiet pools at POR and no one said anything.)

One thing I will caution you about...they don't allow masks/goggles on the big slide at Poly. My 8yo DD hates water in her eyes/nose and so she likes a mask when she swims. During our trip in May she had done the slide several times and thought it was her favorite part of the vacation, but then one of the lifeguards told her she couldn't have the mask on the slide. It was a real bummer for her...

Why no swim goggles on the slide? We are headed to the Poly next week, and both DH and DS have prescription swim goggles ... makes climbing the stairs to the slide easier for them if they can wear them.

Did they give an explanation? That is kind of weird, but I'm sure there is a safety issue I can't think up.
