Pool question and December question

robinB - too funny. The December we went, like I said, was unseasonably cold and it rained about half od the trip. We split our stay at BCV and BWV. We were only at BCV for 2 nights and my daughter saw the pool (she was 2.5 years old) and begged me to go. My husband was tired, so he took a nap. Well... it started to rain. It was about 50 degrees and my daughter and I were playing in SAB. People were walking by in parkas thinking we were nuts. We were the only ones in the pool. Too funny.

When we moved to BWV, same thing - cold and rainy, but my daughter had to swim. So - we would go back and forth between the hot tub and pool. We met two other families in the pool - both from Wisconsin! :)

As for the Polar Bear club - I'll pass too. But growing up, we had a rule, you had to go swimming in the lake (head under the water), before all of ice left. (We live on Green Bay, part of lake Michigan, 50 miles north of the city of Green Bay). We did it every year! :earseek:

So- if it is cold this January, and you see a family at the BWV pool (husband, wife and almost 6 year old) - it could be us! Even if it is freezing!

BTW - LOTW is too funny. That would be my husband... :) He does not buy any souveniers except for his half yard of beer in England - then refills it all week. :)

We're from NY state (Capital District) and had no problem swimming in Florida in December! :flower: Actually, last year we went from 12/3-12/11 and had gorgeous weather-mostly high 70s, low 80s. Our first full day was chilly and one day had scattered showers.
