Pool @ Poly Question

I have stayed twice at the Poly but only swam briefly. We are going again in 10 days and we are hoping to get at least one swim time in. I am wondering if the Poly provides towels at the pool or if you need to use your room towels? If they do provide some where are they? I never saw any on my past trips. Thanks!

They are at the pool.

I remember one bin near the kiddie splash area, and one by the bar/table area.

They do provide towels at the Poly. They're the same smallish white towels you have in your room. They're in large bins either to the side of the pool or to the side of the pool bar. You can't miss them. There are separate bins, which look a lot like the trash cans, for returning your used towels. Fortunately, these are marked so you don't pitch your trash in these bins.

Towels are definitely provided by the pools at the Poly. Just look for the pool towel 'shacks' for clean towels and one for returning your used towels.

There is a chance if you're swimming late at night that the pool towel shack could be 'locked' so if you have a spare beach towel it would come in handy then. This happened to us when we all went swimming around 11pm last August. Thankfully a CM came by and opened the shack so we could have fresh towels. Very cool!

This is probably why I never saw them! We were swimming later in the evening and it was cool outside so they probably had it all locked up.

I believe your correct about that. Last month when I stayed at the Poly and was walking back to the Hawaii Longhouse which goes past the Volcano pool and it was past 11:00 PM, I am 99.9% sure there was a lock on the door where you can get fresh clean towels.

I remember because when I went to take a nap while the kids had gone to the pool, they were knocking on the sliding door (our room was facing the volcano pool) asking for their beach towels as the towel shack was locked. When I went to get them out in an hour I asked why their beach towels were still bone dry and that's when they told me a CM brought them towels.

On the topic of the Poly Pool. I noticed on another thread someone mentioning the Poly pool being COLD! We go in late April, I am guessing the pool temps at all the resorts are similiar. There wouldn't been a pool heating issue at that time of year would there?
