Does the hostess want you to bring something? When we had a pool I really didn't care if people brought food I just wanted them to bring sunscreen, towels, pool toys for their kids. Oh and to pay attention to them when they were in the water!
I'm leaning towards a watermellon salsa recipe I found- based on what everyone else is bringing. Thanks for all the ideas. I want to try the cupcakes in cones - I've never done that!
And yes the hostess wants us to bring something as it's a big group going.

My kids and their friends love them. Me, not so much (I think the cone gets soggy) They are cute, and you can ice them to make it look like ice cream on the top
I have a pool and have hosted a few parties. Here's what I like to see.
-Cooler with watermelon or cantelope on ice.
-Pool toys to keep the kids occupied. Even the little dive disks will keep them busy.
-Lot of towels. There never seem to be enough.
-If you prefer chicken to beef, bring chicken. If you prefer beef to chicken, bring beef. No matter which I grill there's always one that wants the other.
-Cooler full of beer for the host.
