Pool Parties

Anyone else wish the afternoon pool parties would just go away? I never see a huge amount of kids participating and some of the CMs are just so loud and obnoxious it kills me. I know, I'm not being magical...

They do make it difficult for those that want to nap in the afternoon. But no, I don't think they should do away with the parties.

We enjoy the parties and have participated many times. I like to watch the activities and enjoy the music.

Most resorts offer a quiet pool.

We love the afternoon pool parties!
A few years ago, there was a CM who had a particularly loud, whiny voice. Her voice really did grate on my nerves. But other then that, we love them!

My daughter really has enjoyed the parties but maybe if I was on an adult only trip it might get on my nerves.

You're not alone OP, I'm not a big fan of the pool parties. Some activities are definitely more annoying than others though. I can usually tune most things out.

I could take them or leave them...it's fun watching people participate but when the CMs are begging for people to play along, maybe they should take a break or something.

They used to be obnoxiously loud...so loud we left the main pool at the Boardwalk and could still hear them at the quiet pool near the DVC community house and "sorry, naps are out of the question" in a pool/lagoon view 5th floor room at BLT with the balcony doors closed (this was dead center of the U - the furthest distance from the pool on that side of the building). They seemed to have turned them down so they don't really bother me like they used to.

We are also not big fans of the pool parties. We try to avoid them anyway we can. When we stayed at BLT, our villa was inside the C, so we got the pool party noise every afternoon for hours. It was awful. They should do away with the microphone that the CMs use.

Its not just you. I wish if they didn't do away with them, they would at least have a break where people can swim without all of the noise. How about an hour of party fun, then an hour off?

A 30 minute downtime would be fine . If they could just lower the volume however I thought last year it was not as loud and I could actually hear the dialog to the show I was watching
on my device .

This discussion kind of reminds of the trip advisor review of Aulani a year or so ago that only gave aulani 3 stars because there were too many kids around. Try to remember where you are folks. And yes the parties don't bother me at all. We have an adult daughter with Down syndrome who still lOves them and the CMs are so wonderful to her and her best friend who always comes with us.

Sorry, I didn't realize that WDW pools were primarily for children. I thought they were for all guests.

Yeah, we don't like them either, but we go to the quiet pools.

They don't really affect me. I request a "quiet location" at the resort, so I don't have a pool view anyway. If I were going to go to a Disney pool I would choose a "quiet" pool where there weren't any games going on anyway.

I don't mind them but I wish they wouldn't last practically all day. The songs and games cycle through, so if you're there long enough, it's repetitive and tiresome.

I do!!or at least shorten the time they have them and /or turn down the volume !

Sorry, I didn't realize that WDW pools were primarily for children. I thought they were for all guests.
