The longer I sit here at work with nothing to do, the more questions I seem to have about Disney. We will be at the Fort Nov.30th-Dec.7th. Are the pools usually open at these times? They look like a lot of fun, and I would hate to miss an opportunity to enjoy them. Also, is pool hoping "discouraged" at Disney? I kinda wanna check out pools at other resorts too. Both our parents are staying at different resorts while we are there, but I wanna check them all out.

The pools are (supposedly) heated year round if necessary although to this Southerner from Alabama they could stand to make it a few degrees warmer in the fall-winter. They supposedly will close in the late evening due to a drowning over at one of the resorts so you won't be able (supposedly soon) to go for a 3 am swim.

Pool hopping is definitely discouraged per se. However, if you are a guest of someone at a resort, I think you can swim there. The rule about pool hopping is if you DONT know anyone there and want to try out the pool. But as long as your inlaws and your parents are there, THEY are the registered guests and legit users at that resort and you are there on their proxy.

1) Pools are open, unless there is maintenance.
2) Heaters get turned on late October and go through end of March.
3) Of course, dates can change a little based upon actual weather changes.

Just to let you know , the pools at the Fort are xtra wet, bring a big towel.
