Don't know for sure but Disney is in the process of fencing the feature pools and only allowing use when a lifeguard is present.
In the past the slides were closed but people still used the pools after hours.
There have also been reports of security checking the pools after hours.
The changes are probably due to a recent drowning that occurred.
