Pool Hopping?

We love pool hopping. Like someone earlier in this thread, I am always afraid of doing something that is 'against the rules'. I called the front desk where ever we wanted to pool hop. It was never a problem. There are black out dates, but we never hit them. Its a great perk, and for what we paid for our points, we plan on using every perk that works with our lifestyle. Enjoy!
You said it, Mugglemomof3! It is fun, as long as we play by the DVC rules.

That is a problem. Campers paying $30 a night should not have access to the same facilities as someone paying $200+ a night. I remember the last time we stayed at the WL, our buses would often stop at the campground on the way to Epcot or any of the other parks. It was way out of the way, and very annoying. Often the buses were jam packed with campers. I don't think a deluxe resort should have to share a bus with a campground. Nothing against campers, I enjoy camping too. I just think that a deluxe resort guest should have better service. I haven't stayed at the WL since.

However, as already mentioned, DVC members are allowed to pool hop.
The cost has nothing to do with it. The issue is following the rules. The reason that this is such a problem between FW and WL is that there isn't much of a pool at FW and the proximity is easy for them to get to WL. And many crash who aren't even staying on property, even worse in my book.

I must be oblivious to this ph of campers! We are at VWL often and I never notice it although I do not spend much time at the "hotel" side pool. I prefer the quiet pool because it is less crowded.

We do alot of resort hopping. we tend to only use pools at DVC resorts.-It feels more like home to me. That is why bought DVC - to be at DVC resorts, not at ohter type of resorts hotels. We have used the GF pool once. It was during the summer-we were at MK, we hopped over for a dip. We were staying at OKW, so this was definately more convenient.

I love thsi perk. I agree that Disney doesn't mind when people resort hop becausse more often than not, we are spending money there. If I go to the pool at my home resort, I probably would "spend" lesss on food than when I pool hop.
THat story of the mom w/ the bathroom child really is disgusting. Just ask someone"Where is the restroom?" Rude and ignorant!

My point about cost is that if you are paying for a deluxe experience, you should be able to enjoy it without having to be infringed upon by folks not paying for a deluxe experience. Wristbands are a simple way to handle this.

Some of those "campers" at FW ARE paying for a deluxe experience. They're staying in the cabins, which are as expensive as some of your "deluxe" rooms. So let's not use money as the excuse. The problem is that the rules aren't being consistently enforced.
