Pool Hopping

Once upon a time, roughly 17-18 years ago, (whew that’s scary) my family went to the Polynesian Village. I was only 4 but I still remember the volcano water slide. I am going to WDW in only 2 weeks staying at the All Star Movie Resort and I was wondering if we could “hop” over to the Polynesian pool for a trip down memory lane. If not to swim, at least to look around the resort a bit and jog my memory. Am I allowed or is this a Disney no no?

we went to GF, Poly, Yacth/beach Club and Contemp to look around and we walked out by the pools. I know that "Pool hopping" is prohibited..... but we didn't try. I would go for a look just like we resort hop to look around. Have fun, let us know how much it has changed

I'm pretty sure that you can look, but you can't touch. You'll probably want to get at least one more opinion on that, because I haven't been to WDW in 13 years myself, and I stayed off-site... but from what I've read on the boards, I think thats how it goes.

You can only pool hop if you are a DVC member, but even than you can not pool hop at SAB or the pool at AKL.

Thanks Guys, okay so no trip down the Volcano slide, at least I can see it. And your saying it is okay to "check out" the other resorts? Some of them like Animal Kingdom Lodge look incredible.

The pools are for the exclusive use of the guests at that resort. However, DVC members staying on points are entitled to hpp over to some of the resort pools except during black out times (usually holiday times). If you want to be able to use a hotel pool, save your money and stay there.

But, you can go and visit the resort anytime. Just leave the resort amenities to the resort guests.

Sure, you can go check things out! We often spend most of a day just visiting the diff resorts, seeing their gift shops, dining, etc. Just can't jump in for a swim =)
