Pool Hopping

We are staying at RPH in July. Are you allowed to pool hop to Portofino Bay? Can you order a pizza from Sal's and enjoy by the pool?

Yes you can pool hop.

I don't see why you couldn't do take out from Sal's and enjoy it by the pool.

I really love how the Uni hotels encourage pool hopping. All three hotels have great pools with lively atmosphere.

Just wanted to mention that there is a pizzeria by the pool also. Splendido Pizzeria has burgers and salads and pizza as well as chicken fingers and sandwiches. They have plastic fan shaped menus on the tables poolside and they deliver to you. The food is good.

We have also had Sal's to go so you can do that as well.

Wow, like asmit4, I opened this thread to read the debate that I was sure would follow a pool hopping question.

You can tell I'm a US/IOA newbie and have spent all my time on the WDW forums, LOL. I'm surprised that pool hopping is allowed between the US hotels. That's great!

They allow it b/c all of US/IOA resorts are 4 star AAA rated- meaning all are high end and ranked the same. There is no value/mod/deluxe. They are all deluxe.

Also- someone will correct me if I'm wrong-but I don't think any of the DW resorts are ranked as 4 star AAA resorts. GF MIGHT be but I don't even think that resort qualified. I could be wrong though

i always go to another hotel and get a chair by the pool.

the wait staff will come frequently for drink/food orders.
i can use my hotel key for charging what i buy there.

it works out great.

you only need to show your hotel key card to get towels at the pool area.
they also have swim toys available to use.

you also can use the changing, shower rooms at the different hotels.

Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Yacht and Beach Club, Boardwalk Inn, Swan and Contemporary are all 4 star resorts.

Of course not. There's no way it would work there. There's 2,400 rooms at Universal's Hotels. There's pver 30,000 at Disney's.
