Pool Hopping?

Hi Everyone!

I had a quick question. My DH and I are DVC members, and we are getting ready to head down to WDW in a few weeks. I know that we can pool hop (except for BC and AKL), but I did not know if that meant only DVC resorts or at any WDW resorts (meaning could we pool hop at a moderate resort). The kids are dying to try the pool at POFQ.

Yes, you can pool hop to non DVC resorts.

Yes you can PH to any resorts except all pools at the resorts you mentioned plus the YC. There are black out times which will include 4-18 April, you did say you were going in a few weeks, I hope you are later but before the May holiday. You must call the destination resort for permission.

Thanks that was just what I needed to know. We will be there the last week in April into May, so the block-out dates won't be a problem. We will just call the resort, and make sure it is okay. Also, we will have our own car, and plan on driving over the the resort where we want to pool hop.....will we have a problem parking there for an hour or so while we swim?

You also have to be staying on points at a DVC resort to pool hop.

Not at most places. CR has been an issue over the years and GF can be an issue as well. Many have been turned away from CR from a parking standpoint even when they were legally PH. GF and sometimes BWV, will often direct you to the overflow lot which are not convenient and across the street.
