Pool Hopping

I'm trying to plan our August trip. Can we use the pools at either BLT or VWL if we aren't staying there? We will be staying at SSR for the first week of our trip and then at BLT for the last 5 days. The kids want to go MK our first day. I was thinking that we could park at BLT to go to MK and then take a break and swim at either BLT or VWL in the afternoon before going back to the MK for a little while in the evening. Is there any reason why this wouldn't work?

this is kind of a problem. if you are staying at SSR, there is no way you'd be able to park at BLT for the day. if you have a valid reason to be at BLT, you could probably get a pass for a couple of hours.

(i haven't seen whether pool hopping is restricted at BLT or not, but you could definitely hop to WL if it's not a blackout period and their pool isn't busy with their own guests. but don't plan to park there for the whole day either...)

I would take the bus over to the MK, then walk or monorail over to the Contemporary, assuming pool hopping is allowed. Bring a gym bag or something with your swimwear. I wonder if the BLT will have a changing room near the pool like other DVC resorts?

As long as your are DVC Members staying at a DVC resort on points, then yes pool hopping is available. Since BLT is not open yet, there has been no determination or announcement about it being included in the pool hopping. At this time AKL and Stormalong Bay are excluded. Be sure to check the blackout dates, bring your Blue DVC Membership card and contact the resort first to see if it will be ok to hop that day.

I think you can safely count on pool hopping to not be allowed at BLT and likely to be stopped at CR as well once BLT opens.

Has anyone heard of days being blacked out in Aug. for pool hopping? We plan on hopping Aug. 11-16. We like to pool hop to the Poly & Coranado Springs.
