If you are a resort guest at Fort Wilderness is it "legal" to go to another resorts pool? Would you have to "sneak in" or is it perfectly acceptable to pool hop among resort pools?

We are particularly interested in the sand bottom pool with slide. What resort is that at? Is it walkable from FW or do you use transportation?

I'm asking this for a friend who doesn't want to "sneak" anywhere as they will be with a girl scout troop and don't want to set any bad examples for the girls.

The pool you are asking about is called Storm-Along-Bay (SAB) and is the main pool for the Beach Club/Yacht Club Hotels.

Staying at FW will entitle your friiends to use the amenities of FW only. Disney's policy is that a resort's pools are for the enjoyment of only the guests actually staying at the resort. There are a few exceptions to that policy, but none of them would apply to your friends.

So yes, if your friends decide to pool hop to any of the resort pools they will have to sneak in. Because SAB is so popular (and so many people ignore the rules), IDs are often checked at that pool. Those without proper BC/YC resort IDs are asked to leave.

You'll have to tell your friend that she and the girl scouts will have to swim at the FW pools or pay to visit one of the water parks.

Hope they have a great time!
